Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked We only stayed for one night here in our campervan as a stop over on a long journey but the campsite was lovely. Friendly welcome and all amenities explained. Would be a perfect base to explore the area for a longer period of time. We ate at the pub opposite which was superb! As others have mentioned the toilets and showers are not new but they were very clean and functional so no complaints and not very busy as the majority of pitches seemed to be larger Motorhomes or caravans with their own facilities. WiFi worked for us too.

Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked We had a lovey stay here. There are many walks directly from the campsite but lots to do a short drive away also. We walked along the canal in both directions to Ellesmere and Welshampton and would recommend food at the Sun Inn. I was worried initially that the bathroom facilities would be inadequate on a bank holiday weekend but it was all fine and did not have to wait for anything. Clean, and functional. The extra living/kitchen/bar space was a really nice touch and well used.

Liked Peaceful, clean site. Lots of space. Lovely to be able to have a fire pit in the evening. Nice hot showers.
Disliked Can be tricky to get a totally flat pitch but lots of space to choose from.

Liked Lots of space. Lovely touch to buy fire pit with logs on a chilly September evening.
Disliked Needs more toilets. Would be an issue in high season.
