Hayle, Cornwall, England
Power optional grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely quiet sight with amazing views across the Cornish country side. Andrew is very responsive to problems. Adequate showers and toilet facilities. Would stay again if…………
Disliked The site is on a slope. There is no flat ground for tent pitches and we therefore felt like we were falling down hill all night which is a shame.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite
Liked Everything.
Beautiful campsite in a stunning region.
Facilities all spotlessly clean.and always stocked with toilet paper and handwash. The showers cost 80cents but it’s the best shower we’ve had on this trip so I’d pay that happily.
More facilities than you would expect from a campsite.
Quiet and peaceful , even the building work next to the campsite seemed quiet.
Pitches are defined and very large.
The swimming pool is cold but open all the time, it is clean and clear.
We loved it so much after the chaos of Italy we booked two extra nights.
Will definitely return here.
Disliked It is a little pricey.
The entrance hides what’s behind. And first impressions count.
Toilets and showers are downstairs.

Magione, Perugia, Italy
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite (large)
Liked The pool
Being in the woodland.
Sanitary facilities were ok.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The poolside cafe makes the best cappuccino we’ve had in Italy.
Disliked Quite noisy until late due to scheduled pool party! And people in a unit behind us playing music quite loud.
It’s on the side of a hill so everything is up or down a steep hill. It is split over two sights on either side of the road. It’s a steep down hill to the lake and an area that doesn’t look very inviting.

Venice, Venice, Italy
Green Area powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked Proximity to Venice and made so easy with relatively cheap fares on a ferry a 3 minute walk from campsite.
Staff all very friendly.
Peaceful and relaxing.
Pool a bit chaotic but a welcome relief from the heat.
Showers ok. Facilities clean enough. The trees give good shade in the heat of the day.
Disliked The mosquitos. We all got bitten. Take insect repellant with you apply as you arrive.
The search for a pitch was unnecessary. It is laziness not to have pitch numbers on a site like that. I almost feel they just let everyone in and hope for the best, it’s certainly incredibly crowded. The only way to guarantee a decent pitch is book one with lagoon frontage.
The toilet block is unpleasant. Not very clean especially towards the end of the day.

Pompei, Naples, Italy
Powered grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Ok so let’s start with the positive.
There’s a decent view of Vesuvius.
The staff were pleasant.
The pitch was flat.
Great for motor homes.
Disliked Let’s start with the road to the campsite, narrow and unpleasant with Napoli drivers who drive like they stole it. We pulled the wing mirrors in.
The toilets were essentially four individual wet rooms with combined shower ,sink and toilet so they were wet. What’s with Italians not putting toilet seats on toilets designed for seats?! Putting 1€ in the slot didn’t result in hot water just a less cold shower.
Noise we had a guy next to us practising his guitar solo for well over an hour it wasn’t good enough to enjoy!! Lots of dog barking and vehicle noise and fireworks until very very late.
The lights. Far too many that come on and off with the wind right over our tent so we were woken frequently by a lamp as bright as the sun.
The final straw was the Ants and wasps. We woke in the morning to find our breakfast pastries literally black with ants, the floor was covered in ants and the wasps were outside waiting to ambush us. We packed up and left promptly. Only stayed one night actually only pitched for about 14 hours. Also felt uneasy leaving out stuff unattended after ‘the family’ came down on a pretend walk but were obviously checking us out.
It is also not a 15 minute walk to the Pompeii site it’s a 30-45 minute walk through an unpleasant area.

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass tent campsite
Liked Nice toilet facilities. Showers were a pain as had to hold the button the whole time or stand with your back pushing it in. Staff were very friendly. Beautiful scenery.
Disliked The trampoline in the middle of the site very very noisy. I dreamt I was in the middle of a battle field and woke up realising it was the trampoline making a loud ‘thwumping’ noise , it was 6:50 am.
