Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland
Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked This site is good for one night stop overs but not longer. It’s small and basic and a little steep in price comparison to other sites of a similar profile. There is one toilet with a shower inside, it was clean but if it’s occupied and you need the loo - you’re in for a wait. It would have been nice to be greeted by someone on arrival but I appreciate we checked in at 8pm.
The forest surroundings and nice and the location for Ayr is good!
Disliked Lack of toilets

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Very clean, good campsite facilities - well maintained! Lovely site, picturesque.
Checkin was very organised and easy to find the pitch. Pitches were level.
Disliked Extra large pitches near the river were large in size, but extremely close together. Felt cramped and hemmed in. Screaming baby in close proximity was hell on earth. I think larger families with multiple kids need bigger pitches with more space. Or put the smaller groupers of campers in a different part of the field
