Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked This site is convenient for us to visit friends living in the nearby village. It is a quiet site(when we visit out of school-holiday time anyway) and the touring pitches are reasonably spaced apart.
Disliked We use mostly our own facilities and do not rely on site provided ones for washing, showering, loo etc. Just as well really because apart from having to pay extra for showers,I was very surprised by the ultra-modern sink washing provisions, which amount to little more than taps above a drainage trough, meaning that you cannot fill a sink with water and effectively have a wash. A case of style over functionality in an effort to save water??
On the subject of water, I have never stayed at a site with such a low water pressure provision for filling of caravan water barrels etc. You could almost walk away to do other chores and leave the tap flowing with very little chance of it overflowing.
Wi-Fi is available onsite for what I consider to be an exhorbitant extra charge per day/week when compared to other sites which mostly do not charge at all or are significantly less expensive.
We will continue to use this site when visiting the area. It is well kept and easy to access. The new owners have got most things right but there is always room for improvement in certain areas.
