Express primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite (no cars)
Liked The shower, washing up facilities and toilet per pitch.
The fridge and freezer facilities were a great addition as to was the firepit and firewood. The shop had delicious local produce.
The walkways cut to the river path are just stunning and I wish I could have stayed longer but had appointments to return home for.
Disliked I didn't dislike anything but I would suggest a hand basin next to the toilet area would be good for hand/teethbrushing.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful location and proximity to petrol station, pubs, brick works museum and leisure centre. Close to Southampton and Portsmouth.
Management sorted out anti social behaviour of neighbouring tent.
Disliked Showers were too cold for campers but spot on for people using the small lake.
Toilets were not cleaned for the 6 day duration I was there. If in doubt move hygiene bins in ladies.
Field road up to camping field is really deeply rutted and I nearly bottomed out my vehicle.
The approach across the pitch fronts is also heavily rutted and would be tricky to navigate in inclement weather it's also dangerous at night to walk to toilets.
The red fire buckets by the pitches are full of green algae water and smell.
Pitch price is excessive for the facilities available.
Washing up facility is basic and to be frank money needs spending on the whole camping set up to improve the quality of staying there. It's such a shame as it could be an excellent site given done investment and a separate camping shower/toilet facility.

Liked I was situated right next to the facilities which was great. The site was really clean and tidy. The site owner welcomed me in person and gave me details of the site and neighbouring towns
Disliked I was in a small campervan so the cost of the pitch was expensive even given the time of year. My van uses very little electric and at another site I paid the same amount for 5 days with electric and similar facilities

Liked I loved the tranquility of the pitch and the facilities were clean and tidy throughout my stay. It was my first experience of a compost loo but I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the cubicles each day. I liked the separate cold washroom and the washing up area and showers too.
Disliked There wasnt anything I disliked at all

Primitive grass campsite
Liked I was greated on arrival and shown a pitch which was clearly marked out. I was told about the facilities shower, toilets, washroom and laundry room.
Disliked Would have preferred the shower to be away from the washing up area as you need to exit the shower to insert the token in your towel and people were washing up. It didn't spoil my stay but as a solo female traveller it was a little daunting to do this

Liked Booking in tent with all its facilities. Good pitches, toilets, washing up areas.
Disliked Showers only worked on hot if there were 2 of you using them.
The day after we booked we were sent an email from the site saying we could have booked for £2 per night... We'd booked for £11 per night so slightly miffed we didn't get the offer earlier

Liked Everywhere was well maintained and clean. Everything was well signed and easily accessible. Reception was manned when I arrived and departed. Very good hot showers
Disliked Toilet block was cold and could have done with heating as it was very cold overnight and early morning. Couldn't get hot water in the washing up area so had to carry it from toilet block. Had to pay £10 for gate key but didn't see this in the information for the site? Would have been worth knowing as I don't usually carry cash

From the manager: Thankyou for your review. The toilet block by the entrance is heated, but not the one at the other end of the site. I am so sorry there was no hot water in the top washing up area Fortunately someone reported the hot water problem to us and will be fixed. The deposit for the barrier is on the pitch up conditions. We hope you stay with us again soon. Regards Ginny
