Ashurst, Hampshire, England
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Walks directly from the site and friendly staff. Also good take aways and pub in easy walking distance. It was pretty peaceful considering it was busy. Facilities all good.
Disliked A little close to the main road. Also I felt anxious having to find a pitch as it was busy and wasn’t sure where we were allowed to go.
I also appreciate freezers available to refreeze ice packs.

Liked Johnathon was available to answer any questions we had prior to arrival and during our stay. I chose this site for its location and the fact it allows fires, which is a must for me! The freezers were a bonus for me to be able to refreeze ice blocks. And the kettle to enable me to fill hot water bottles at bedtime lol. The pitches were nice and level (cut into a sloped hill) and I felt we had plenty of space, even if it had been busier it felt It would still feel spacious. The location for us was nice and central for the places we planned to visit. The loo and showers were perfect for our needs. And the pool table a bonus to keep our girls entertained as we packed up!! Thanks again Johnathon, I hope we make it back sometime.
