Power optional grass campsite
Liked The site is part of a stables at the bottom end of the quaint, well looked after village. It is very secure and easy to access. Virtually 100% flat field. The shower rooms are spacious and immaculate. Facilities are more than adequate.
There is a pleasant (1 mile-ish) walk which circumnavigates The Ranch.
Disliked Struggling to pick up on any negative aspects.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Loved everything about this site. Nice welcome, facilities basic but spotlessly clean and more than adequate - come on; you're on a (very hard) working farm ...you can't expect bidets and bathrobes. Yes, it is on a gentle slope but with careful consideration on arrival, there's plenty of good pitches. Seems to attract decent outdoors people (apart from one miserable cow next to me 😆)
Views over towards Crich are a good attraction. Abundant wildlife.
I was pitched and relaxing for a few hours when i realized i'd been here before ...Whatstandwell Festival 2012 !!!
Surrounding walks lead directly from farmhouse. Only excursion (drive) i did was to Lea Gardens ...a good few miles but well worth it.
Disliked Having to leave ...

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Stunning scenery. Friendly welcome and very helpful. Quite busy but all campers were considerate i.e. music stopped at 10pm. Massive field so didn't feel crowded.
Disliked Quite uneven ground ...just need to park up and walk round to find a flat spot.
Water supply took some finding but they do have one 😉

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Perfect in every way. Access and pitch space is ample. All pitches 100% level. Toilets/showers are pristine and roomy. Reception doubles as a small shop with camping essentials. There are waymarked forest walks literally connected to campsite that stretch for miles. Bus stop to Stirling is adjacent to site entrance. Site is situated ON Cycle Network #7 which you can follow to Aberfoyle (beautiful village) - the only fuel garage i found for miles around.
Disliked Struggling to think of any negatives ...all that bugged me was the kids screaming (with delight) at the weekend but that's just because i'm a grumpy old man. Monday to Thursday was super-quiet.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Beautiful setting. Plenty of space to manouvre. Fresh meat available on site.
Disliked No toilets or showers ...but then again, touring vans have them on board if desperate.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Peace and quiet was perfect ...friendly owner who was very easy-going.
Limited facilities but more than adequate for my single-male requirements.
Disliked No dislikes but more of a planning concern...notice in WC warns that the site can be affected by flooding. I stayed 'post-heatwave' so dry as a bone.
