Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Quiet campsite! Helpful owner! Dog exercise area! Probably half the price of other campsites! Could take up as much room as you wanted lengthways and widthways was ample! Small woodland walk
Disliked Not very hygienic, bucket under sink in pot wash full of disgusting waste, portacabin toilets and shower (if you could call it a shower) long drive up a narrow road up to site with houses either side! Not much to do close by, but that suited us as we just wanted to relax! Daughter got sick on our second night there, would be unfair to blame the actual site as it could have been something going around but couldn't dis-count it either ! Would stay again because we now know what to expect but would go better prepared

From the manager: We are pleased you are looking forward to coming again. Yes, we are very rural and away from it all. The drive-in is about 2 miles, and the nearest shop or pub is about 2.5 - 3 miles. However, the wildlife is great, and as you say, there is plenty of space and rural walks. I will check out the potwash not sure who left the waste it's not management! But thanks for the heads-up

Camping pod (five person)
Liked Pods we're clean and tidy with plenty of storage! very helpful, friendly staff! Pub onsite serving food! Food was in my opinion excellent and reasonably priced, you can either eat in or take away which we chose to do, toilets clean and quite modern.
Disliked We had a 5 person pod which possibly would suit family with small(ish) children but was a bit small with our 2 18yr old kids, beds were quite hard and uncomfortable! Showers looked awesome but in reality the flow was quite slow and not hot enough! The worst part was the pot wash which consistered of 1 pot sink and two drainers when there was a couple of what looked like unused buildings which could easily be converted

Powered grass campsite
Liked Most pitches were quite large, friendly staff, toilet block was well thought out with two male and two female which were fully open when busy but closed off one section at a time for cleaning when not so busy meaning one section was open while the other section was given a good clean! Family bathroom for people with small children! Dog cleaning Station for when they had been for a muddy walk, fantastic walking and cycling paths which were well signposted so as not to get lost! Cycle routes had various grades of challenge, which my 18yr old son made full use of the red route while I enjoyed the more level route! The site was clean and well maintained with staff always on hand if needed
Disliked I was in a six man tent with my wife, my 18yr old son and daughter and 3 very small dogs and electric hook up, at £51 per night I thought this was rather expensive when it wasn't even in school holidays, not just this site but I think in general since covid came along and people are holidaying in this country more I think sites have taken an opportunity to hike their prices
