Weymouth, Dorset, England
Power optional grass campsite
Liked Friendly welcome the second we arrived.
The BEST toilet and shower block we’ve ever had at a campsite.
Peaceful site, no clubhouse or play area, and plenty of space on the pitches even at the peak of summer.
Pay-as-you-go electric hookup - £3 saw us through all 4 nights.
Starlink WiFi sufficient for browsing, maps and emails.
Dog-friendly, with plenty of space so no issues with others on site, and loads of walking areas beyond main camping field.
Disliked Nothing

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Clear communication, level pitches and hands down the best shower/toilet facilities I’ve even seen on a campsite.
A chilly October morning was made much more bearable with a hot shower.

Primitive grass tent campsite (four person)
Liked A quiet, simple site with large pitches.
Basic but well maintained facilities (washing up area, toilet/shower block).
Very reasonably priced, good base for exploring local area.
Alongside main road but we didn’t notice any noise at all.
Petrol station/convenience store at the main entrance was handy.
Disliked Was ok for us, but be aware the site is basic - no play facilities for kids, not connected to a local trail or easy access to a local landmark etc.
If you’re looking for something to do, it will involve a car journey.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Delivered exactly as advertised - a simple hilltop campsite with a small shower block with WCs.
A perfect base from which to explore the Brecon Beacons, and short drive to Glynneath and Merthyr for pubs, shops and other essentials.
The little shop a few hundred yards away will transport you back 50 years - great for essentials.
Looking forward to returning to Bryn Bwch for another retreat!
Disliked Didn’t dislike, just be aware that a hilltop farm in the Brecons can get windy - pack accordingly!

Premier field powered grass campsite
Liked The FRIENDLIEST of welcomes from Paul and pleasantries exchanged with all staff during the week.
Well equipped, spacious campsite with clean onsite facilities.
Luxuries and comforts such as Wifi room, laundry facilities and onsite bar/restaurant (we didn’t eat but food looked cracking) but still retaining the relaxed camping feeling due to no clubhouse/leisure complex. Simple but premium play equipment entertained kids.
Reliable electric supply, generally accessible free wifi (there is better signal in dedicated room next to reception) and warm shower block (both room and water!).
Good local connections to A30, Portreath beach and ‘big’ shops in Redruth.
Recommend an evening stroll to Wheal Peevor.
We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing visit, thank you.

Exeter, Devon, England
Powered grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Clean and tidy site
Good outdoor play facilities
Plenty of space on pitch and subtle dividing fences
Owners let us modify booking due to lack of clarity on Pitchup site
Disliked Toilet facilities not child friendly - could do with lower urinals/sinks or a step-up.
No facilities for freezing ice-packs (other sites have a small utility room).
Would have appreciated a site and local area map
