Liked On route to our next site. Pitch was spacious with hedges in between. Plenty bins on site. Easy check in. The little walk through the woods was cute. Plenty toilets which were clean.
Disliked Could just do with a little tidy; strim round and weed kill. (Maybe we are heightened to this as land owners, maybe most guests wouldn't notice). If you're looking for a quiet site, this isn't for you.

Liked The check in process was really atraight forward. Site was clean, no litter at all. The walk round the ponds while the sun was setting was idyllic. I walked through the dog walk woods in the morning; it was so peaceful. Showers were clean and hot.
Disliked Nothing not to like.

Liked Stunning setting. Very clean. Bill and the wardens were very chatty and friendly. Easy booking in process. Shower was hot, but not very powerful, but the shower block was very clean.
Disliked Only a tiny niggle but paying top end for the stay then having to pay £1 for the shower was a little disappointing, although would not put me off staying again.

Liked Small site. Pub next door. Dog friendly. We ate in the pub, which is dog friendly. Food was tasty and plenty of it. Staff were friendly, as were the locals. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the canal. I dare say Bosley reservoir would be a great walk too. The beer garden is spacious. The shower is powerful but takes a while to run hot. The picnic bench per plot is a nice touch.
Disliked We were prepared for the road noise due to reading reviews, but it didn't let up all night. Nothing can be done about it and we booked knowing there would be road noise. The site is a little tired. Paint on the toilet and shower block, externally could do with another coat. You could tell from reviews that the main gate ised to be painted white, but is flaky now. There was no rubbish but there were quite a few dog rocks. Slightly over priced for what it was.

From the manager: I am so sorry about the (dog rocks) it makes me so mad that owners can not pick up after their own animals mess il be out yet again to clear it up myself, obviously the traffic noise is well reported in the reviews especially during a week day, the decor issues are something I need to sit the owner down and get him to take on these jobs but glad you enjoyed the pub, thanks

Liked So quiet and glorious starry skies. Bistro and bar was great. Staff are lovely, there just needs to be at least 2 more of them. Showers are powerful and hot. The lasagne is first class.
Disliked So the idea and design is great, however the implementation is lacking. Just needs finishing off and attention giving to the details; is it a camp site or a building site? The attention to detail is not there- beautiful flowers around the pitches intermingled with nettles and docks, weeds in between the cobbles of the pitches, pitches need to be wider (why does it specify 5m x 6m on the website for hard stabding pitches??There are no motorhomes of those dimensions!!), kids running on the gravel from 6am is noisy, doors don't fit shower cubicles, bins over flowing, huge step out of the shower block, huge last step up to the games room in the bar, holes around the spotlights in shower room, nowhere dry to dry yourself out of the shower, construction equipment within metres of the pitches, shower block code scribbled on a scrap of paper, poorly signed off the road, no reception to check in, dear for what it is, staff run off their feet, food was super but the wait was not, website makes it look a lot more salubrious than it is. It feels like they opened it for guests before it was finished but then on asking, we were told it has been open 10 years! Don't be put off, just have a moment to think that the website is very well marketed.

Disliked The only thing that would have improved was a toilet and shower block.

Liked The site was clean and well designed. Easy to find straight off A1. Shower block was clean and well equipped.
Disliked The fan from the main building was very noisy when on the pitches on the top of the hill. It sounded like a plane coming in to land. Serving staff in the restaurant could have been a little more interested in their job.

Liked Beautiful surroundings. Love the picnic benches with potted plants on. All well lit at night. The shower/toilet block was clean and well decorated. The site is well thought out. Staff were super friendly.
Disliked The ladies showers were perishingly cold and a dribble at best. There was no shower water pressure in the men's either. I tried all 3 of the ladies showers in the hope of not having to have a freezing shower, but to no avail.
There are no sign posts for the paddock until you have passed the reception building; no signage from the road.

Liked The peace was lovely. Hearing the geese and peacocks was super. The pitch was well laid out and clean. Staff were friendly. Easy to find just off M74.
