Liked Amazing site. Beautiful views. Site has a real back to basics feel. Great walking in all directions. Red Lion pub down the hill in Kniveton is fab too. I will keep coming back!

Liked This is absolutely my kind of site. Small, quiet. no fuss. Very well maintained. Loo facilities provided all that was required. I actually liked just having the code for the front gate and not having to wait to be met by a member of staff. I did have a contact telephone number if I had needed to speak to someone.
Walking both ways along the river is lovely, even in the horrible drizzle we had to put up with. Had food from the local Indian delivered which was very convenient and very yummy. Will definitely be back, especially with the bonus of the site only being 1/2 an hour from home.
Disliked Absolutely not the sites fault, but I was disappointed with the pub next door. Its one of those family, chain type places. Perfect if thats your thing but its absolute;y not mine. Was hoping for e few pints but had one and left.

Liked Site is a nice little field hidden away behind the pub and surrounded on three sides by tall hedges. Very quiet and secluded. And its always a bonus to have a loo and shower available.
The pub is a great. An old fashioned village pub with very friendly welcoming owners and locals. I sat on my own having a pint and felt very at home.
The wider village is very lovely with several other nice pubs as well. I really enjoyed the walking that's around. Very beautiful countryside and, with the help of the Kermoot app, found a great route.
Disliked I do find the decision to create a wet room for campers a little surprising. Having the only loo, sink and shower in the same room is not a great idea. Had to wait in the morning to get into the loo and there were only 4 vans on site. A bit if the site was very busy. There would be a bit of leg crossing going on!
Some facilities is better than none. However a separate loo and shower would have been a more practical investment.
