Bronze power optional grass campervan or tent campsite (small)
Liked Beautiful planting around the site and between pitches. Friendly and helpful owners on hand, hot showers and toilets, a little bit tired but clean and all working which is what you need. A good location with a bus stop just outside the campsite so no need to worry about driving and cheaper than parking for a day trip

Bridport, Dorset, England
Primitive forest floor campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Great location, back to basics almost wild camping, but in a safe space. Beautiful individual pitches, nice walks, away from it all, peace and tranquility. A hot shower, 2 composting toilets and a drinking water tap, fire pits to hire and logs, everything you need. A short drive from Bridport and West Bay, and the rest of the Jurassic Coast. Great communication, Steph was very friendly and helpful
Disliked Not exactly a dislike, just a little uncomfortable with only a shower curtain and no door on the shower

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The view was wonderful
Disliked Longish walk to the 2 toilets and 1 shower. I had to wait for the shower as someone else was using it, (and there were only 4 pitches in use), and when I got in, the hot water ran out after 3-4 minutes (maybe because the person before used it and it didn’t have enough time to reheat?), so had to finish rinsing my hair (and body) under cold water - not the preparation for the funeral I was attending that I wanted, but thank goodness it was mild weather! Expensive compared to other sites I use that have better facilities (but it was the best location for where I was going). Also, there are no washing up facilities at all (I asked).

From the manager: Sorry you were disappointed with your stay We sell ourselves as an almost wild campsite With basic but clean and well maintained toilets and a shower ,these are placed at the entrance to the field for plumbing reasons and we felt no one would want to sleep next to a toilet block ! Everyone seems to manage the short walk we have had disabled people stay and after explaining where they were they were perfectly happy with them . We don’t push the fact we have a shower as there is only one,and we put it in mainly for cyclists As most people only stay a couple of nights or have their own facilities This is also why we don’t have a washing up block .Most campers bring a washing up bowl which is ideal as We are trying to save water in East anglia We have no other facilities and don’t pretend to People come to us to get away and relax and enjoy the views and peace and quiet

Liked Tranquility and scenery were food for the soul. No glamping, just pure connection with nature and wildlife and drink in the views. Lovely hot showers, great low carbon footprint camping. A great escape for quiet, nature loving people to relax and unwind. Generous pitches too
Disliked Not quite level pitches, but small price to pay

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite (comfort)
Liked The staff were welcoming and friendly, the park was well presented and tidy. Great facilities with large shower cubicles, all kept spotlessly clean, with under floor heating. Access to large field for dog walking or a go in the tree swing. Great size pitches, plenty of recycling bins, even saw a local bus come through the site this morning to save driving places

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite (family)
Liked Friendly, welcoming, helpful owner on site every day. Plenty of flushing toilets and free hot showers, as well as washing up sinks, all cleaned regularly every day by friendly staff. Fridges and freezer for guest use and sockets for charging phones and devices. A children’s play area and lots of assorted farm birds freely roaming the site and fresh eggs for sale. Great location away from main road so it’s peaceful and great for walks in the beautiful countryside. Good access to nearby local attractions and coast. All this for a budget price!

Coryates, Dorset, England
Primitive grass and earth campervan campsite
Liked Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil with amazing views and friendly, helpful hosts. You choose where you want to pitch, no regimented rows ☺️. A drinking water tap, 4 sinks for washing up, 2 composting toilets and up to 6 hot showers (run on bottled gas), so everything you need and well away from the road so no traffic noise at night. Close to many attractions, beaches, towns, there’s plenty to do without having to drive too far, plus beautiful countryside to walk in and wildlife to see. The perfect place to get away from it all and recharge your batteries 😁
