Definitely will go back and hope it becomes a permanent site

Liked Lovely location with easy walk to Catbells and Derwent water. Toilets kept clean, and showers were amazing - very clean, and powerful water flow. Choose your own pitch and enjoyable views.

Disliked Not really a dislike but Could have done with an extra pot wash area but understand that this is a pop up site so investment probably not available.

Excellent site, we will definitely return.

Liked The location is superb with beautiful views, and due to where the site is (high on a hill) you actually feel as if you are in the landscape as opposed to just seeing it from afar. The long distance views are amazing and it's easy to place your van on the edge of the site so you can't see anyone else when looking at the views - it's as if you've got the place to yourself. Easy access to Skipton and beyond by car, and a pleasant walk (a bit muddy in places) on the old Roman road to Skipton takes about 45 mins. Showers / toilets were good, modern and clean, and the washing up area had thoughtful and very useful touches such as tea towels to dry up with - not seen this at any other site. From Leeds we usually have to travel to at least Settle to feel we are properly in stunning countryside but now this new site gives us a nearer option when we don't want to travel too far. Really pleasant, friendly owners will give you a proper Yorkshire welcome and chat.

Disliked Nothing to dislike, ticked all the boxes for us.

Clean, tranquil, and relaxing.

Liked We loved this place. It was the bank holiday weekend and we struggled to find anywhere to stop. All we could find in the area was this tiny site in the middle of a forest - not really what I was looking for (or so I thought) but beggars can’t be choosers. A drive up the long track through the woods brought us out into a clearing containing a few cabins, a small utilities block, and little else. Just trees. Ferns. Wild plants. More trees. And sky. It was absolute bliss. Couldn’t hear any road noise, just trees in the breeze, and the songs of birds. So peaceful and calm. So far so good, but the clincher would be the showers. So many times we’ve been to sites and my wife comes back from the showers with a long face saying “they’re not very good” but she came back to the van beaming, saying the shower is hot, spacious, and extremely clean. Winner! There’s also a great little kitchen you can cook your food in. It’s a fifteen minute walk from a superb beach - pools, caves, rock arches, cliffs etc, and there’s a pub/restaurant about 8 mins walk away. Don’t tend to visit this part of Scotland often but next time we do we’ll be sure to book in here. Oh, nearly forget to mention - I was expecting to be eaten alive by midges, but got no bites and didn’t even see any of the little beasts.

Disliked Nothing. Never been on a campsite in the woods before but immediately felt relaxed and at home here.

We love Wales, and it looks like we’ve found our favourite site.

Liked The location and views are outstanding. You are right amongst the Welsh mountains. Great location for any of the routes up Snowdon. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and they do a walk around in the evening to make sure all is okay. The site is very clean, and if you are done with walking in the hills you can easily walk to the town in a few minutes. Pleasant town with eateries, pubs, gift shops and a local shop to buy provisions. The free wifi is decent for keeping in touch with home through WhatsApp, which is great because on 3 mobile I couldn’t get a signal. A great short walk can also be done from the town along the river (the slate trail). The showers are decent, and there’s a good washing up area. 100% certain that we will return this year.

Disliked Not the cheapest site, but the fantastic views and location more than make up for it.

Liked Nice peaceful location and easy to get to and from Pendle Hill which we climbed several times over the weekend. Nice showers - hot, clean and bright. Owner was a nice friendly chap.
