What customers say
Beautifully kept site, loved by many for its roomy spots, great staff, and amazing mountain scenery. Easy walk to a cute village. Clean washrooms, though a bit old-fashioned. Peaceful, with lots of trails. Highly recommend and many want to come back!

Powered grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked Beautiful location, the amenities and site were so well kept! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. As a big camper and runner who requires decent rest this site was excellent, it was quiet after the time suggest and plots were so well spaced. Great location with a 10minute walk to the little town of Beddgelert.

Liked ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **An absolute gem in North Wales! 🏔️💚 **
I honestly couldn’t recommend Cae Du Campsite enough. From the moment I arrived, I absolutely loved it. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel relaxed, surrounded by nature, incredible views and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever.
The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, always on hand to answer any questions. What really stood out to me was that they genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs, which made the whole experience feel even more positive. You could tell there was real pride in the campsite. Everything was beautifully maintained, clean and tidy, and the facilities and grounds were clearly well cared for.
And then there are the views… WOW. 😍🏔️ Waking up surrounded by the Welsh mountains is pretty hard to beat!
The location is absolutely perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors. The campsite is right near the Watkin Path, which takes you towards the summit of Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa, but you don’t have to tackle the full mountain to enjoy the area. I spent time exploring the Watkin Waterfalls, and it was honestly one of the highlights of my stay. The scenery along the route is absolutely stunning.
🐾 Dog owners will love it here too! The campsite is dog-friendly, and there are plenty of places around the site to take your four-legged adventure buddies for a walk. There’s even a lovely riverside walk and a picnic area close to a picturesque little lake — perfect for sitting down, taking in the scenery and just enjoying being outdoors.
And if that isn't enough, there’s another lake at the far end of the campsite, around a 30-minute walk away. I saw quite a few people heading down there for a swim during my stay — and yes… apparently the water is actually warm! 😂🏊♀️
A short walk away is the lovely village of Beddgelert, which was the perfect place to stop for an ice cream at Hufen La Parlour Café. 🍦 “Hufen la” means “ice cream” in Welsh — you learn something new every day!
Oh and the wifi signal was perfect no matter where I was on the site 👌🏻
For me, Cae Du was exactly what I want from a campsite: beautiful surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, friendly people, clean and well-kept grounds, amazing walking routes and adventure right on the doorstep.
Whether you’re looking for a base to climb Yr Wyddfa, explore the waterfalls, take the dogs out, go swimming, enjoy the Welsh countryside or simply switch off for a few days, this place has it all.
I genuinely didn’t want to leave and will 100% be coming back. ❤️
Cae Du, you’ve got yourself a new fan! 🏕️🏔️🐾

Disliked Anything I didn’t like?
Honestly… not really! 😂 I genuinely struggled to find anything negative about my stay. Everything I look for in a campsite was there, beautiful surroundings, cleanliness, friendly staff, peaceful walks and incredible scenery. If anything, my only complaint is that I didn’t have enough time to stay longer! 😍
