Grantham, Lincolnshire, England
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked This is a most delightful gem of a campsite: pretty & secluded. We knew that the facilities were basic for washing-up etc but in fact, the shower is worthy of a hotel & everything is super-clean. Games, teas, communal fridge & other delightful touches make this site a real find
Disliked We couldn’t find the fresh water tap- could have rung the proprietor (who we didn’t meet as were just there overnight) but we had our own supply

Skipton, North Yorkshire, England
Primitive grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked The beautiful setting including three tiny lakes, the clean facilities, the friendly touches (corkscrew, bowl of sweets, dog chews etc), the use of fridge/freezer and washing line, the opportunity to hire a wood-burner, proximity to lovely walks including on the old Roman Road, helpful owners
Disliked No electric points

From the manager: Thanks for your lovely comments. It is stated that we don't have electric points. I hope that this wont stop your return visit.😊
Pickering, North Yorkshire, England
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked We were offered the hard-standing car park instead of the water-logged field (unusually torrential rain the day before our arrival). The owner took the trouble to email us beforehand to pre-warn us which was considerate. It was great to have the pub for excellent beer & great pies
Disliked Very basic facilities but the cost is low to allow for this

York, North Yorkshire, England
Meadow primitive grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked The setting: absolutely lovely level field with trees and lots of space; beautiful lakes & wild swimming. Great to have a cafe & covered area to congregate plus helpful staff. Proximity to York is an advantage too
Disliked Only one female loo (plus one male & one disabled) & one shower with rather uninviting washing-up facilities. The loo & washing-up block is rather a long way from the camping field, certainly too far to carry lots of plates & pans

From the manager: Hi and thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your stay. The single ladies toilet you have reviewed is for our swimmers. The toilets for those staying on the campsite are at the back of this block. We offer two campsites, one close to the amenities and one further away so people can choose which suits there needs the best. I hope the above helps if you visit us again. Kind Regards, Pool Bridge.
