Cabrerizos, Salamanca, Spain
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Great location for visiting Salamanca. (Easy to cycle in on a dedicated track.) Very well organised with helpful staff with good English. There is an onsite restaurant albeit with a confusing menu.
Disliked Probably needs a second sanitation block.

A Guarda, Pontevedra, Spain
Power optional grass RV campsite
Liked Location, close to the sea and looking over towards Portugal. The showers, loos etc in a large well lit light clean building with modern sanitary fittings and plentiful hot water. There is a reasonably well stocked shop where fresh croissants were available.
Disliked We were there in terrible weather which didn’t help. The restaurant is only open at weekends in late September. The site is around 1km from any cafes, restaurants or shops. It is a big site with lots of long term caravans on site. The individual pitches aren’t huge but the site wasn’t at all crowded when we visited.

Santiago de Compostela, La Coruna, Spain
FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked At least the facilities were clean.
Disliked Pretty well everything. Dismal site pressed up against a factory. The swimming pool was derelict. The
Bar area was uninspired with little choice. Quite a long walk along a very busy road to catch the airport shuttle bus into Santiago. No information board.

Ispra, Varese, Italy
Powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked Easy to find.
Good facilities.
Disliked We were only using it as a transit stop for one night and it is really a destination site, which may be why we were given a tiny pitch with difficult access. We asked if we could upgrade but were told no as all pitches were booked. This seems unlikely as at least one of the better pitches that we spotted was vacant in the morning.

Roseto degli Abruzzi, Teramo, Italy
FHU gravel and sand campsite
Liked Helpful staff
Nice shady site close to the sea.
Clean facilities
Water power and grey waste disposal on the pitch
Disliked Quite close to a busy railway line.
Not really complaints but be aware that the site is on a complex one way system and is easy to miss so you can end up going in circles.
The showers need a token ( or two really) but are free and are also open topped.
We were the only non-Italians on the site and as a result the manager’s English was limited( though better than my Italian.).

Albert, Somme, France
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Nice touring pitches on hard standing with electricity.
Friendly helpful owners/staff.
Short walk to central Albert but quiet and secluded.
Albert is an interesting town with a basilica and a military museum featuring the Australian troops stationed there.
Very obvious signs that new owners are modernising the site.
Disliked Modernisation is a work in progress but not intrusively so.

Stockbridge, Hampshire, England
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Space, location, owners.
Disliked Nothing really. It is a very simple basic site with propane driven showers( very good) and composting loos. These are fine once you get used to them, but it does mean that cubicles get a bit untidy due to sawdust.
The site is at the top of Slisbury Hill. The owner has done a great job keeping the foot path clear. There is quite a steep ascent on returning to the site. The owner was installing a BBQ area as we left, but it wasn’t finished during our stay.
