What an excellent setting has Girona's Kim's Camping on the Costa Brava, a short stroll from the beach of Llafranc and in an area filled with nature and walking trails: if you're seeking a quiet Spanish holiday by the sea, this will see you sorted.
There's plenty to do on site too: facilities include a pool for adults and one for kids, a sports area for footie and basketball, table tennis and a roomy communal area with free wifi. The Toc de Sal bar-restaurant sorts out Spanish tapas, takeaway and a daily menu, and the kids' club sorts out the offspring while the grownups carve out some time at the pool.
Amenities include facilities blocks with free hot showers, a laundry room and a washing-up area; there's also a site supermarket selling groceries and freshly baked bread.

Local attractions
Get out into the Costa Brava outdoors: plenty of walking trails are in the area surrounding Kim's Camping, as well as biking, beach strolls and watersports including diving and sailing. A golf course is 15 minutes away.
About 10 minutes' walk from the site is the swish seaside town of Llafranc, a popular Spanish coastal spot that's had the likes of Salvador Dali and the Hollywood glitterati pitching up throughout the years. It's a traditional Spanish seaside town with plenty of decent restaurants at which to sample the local seafood and the catch of the day.
From Llafranc, wander the kilometre and a half or so around the mighty scenic and pine-scented wooded headland to Calella de Palafrugell, a small coastal resort with award-winning sands. Its coastline runs south towards El Golfet beach and the Cap Roig headland: the botanic gardens here are a bit of a must.
The province capital of Girona is about 60 kilometres from base.
