And so – Camping Riaza, a mere hour from Madrid but in an area with Castilian villages dotted around and with easy access to forests, mountains and rivers. When not roaming around the Spanish outdoors or the streets of Madrid, settle down among the well-kept facilities on site, including a games room, playground, sports court and tennis courts; there's also a business centre (if you really must) and a café/restaurant for sampling local grilled meat and roasts. Forgotten something? The mini market is well stocked with essential items. The Camping Riaza amenities blocks have hot showers, disabled facilities, laundry corners and a baby bathtub.

Liked Staff friendly site is nice we have stayed 3 times !!
But never found the pool .
It was closed 31 august .
When it was still hot in sept

Disliked Cannot find the pool .
Also the pictures on pitch up show motorhomes near the pool
This totally false.
We have stayed 3 times and never seen the pool !!

Liked Washrooms were huge and clean. Location was good for travelling to South of Spain from Santander, only stopped a night.

Disliked No real dislikes but the on site shop is VERY basic. Either take your food with you or there is a supermarket 10 mins drive away.

Liked Good pitches, could choose your own so able to choose one with shade. Great toilets and shower facilities. Good swimming pool although did not use. Location was good for an overnight stay on our trip.

Liked Country feel with lovely buildings and good security in place.
Pick your own pitch.
Good restaurant down the road in the village who make amazing food.
I like and dislike the freezing pool as it was refreshing on a boiling hot day.
Staff very pleasant.

Disliked Pool is a a good walk off site along a rough track and its freezing cold.
Looks like alot of money was spent on the place years ago with the view to make it a special place but now its feels forgotten.
Toilets were very dirty and when we went for food the restaurant was a mess with dirty tables and no one cleaning up. The menu is not great and the picture of a suckling piglet in half in a bowl is not a pleasant site for children picking food to see.
It has potential to be a very special place.
You have to pay for the WIFI its is not included.
Shop bare.

Liked The surroundings are perfect. So nothing wrong with the location.

Disliked The pitch layout is not made for a caravan, it's more for a motor home. If you would turn de pitch 90 degree it would be beter suited.

Camping Riaza is set northeast of Segovia at the border of Soria and Burgos, and at the entrance of the small Castilian medieval town of Riaza, known for its food, art and architecture. Also nearby, take a day to trek around the viewsome town of Sepúlveda, its medieval buildings and its three Romanesque churches, before rounding it all off with dishes of roasted cordero and cochinillo in the local restaurants. The Duratón River and Duratón River Canyons National Park must (must must) not be missed for their spectacular gorges, cliffs and caves.
