You may think that a campsite by the beach is something of a dream location… but why not go one better with a campsite that has its own private beach? That’s exactly what you’ll get at Camping Sanfilippo, on the outskirts of Cefalù on Sicily’s north coast. Yes indeed – this site has direct access to its very own stretch of beach, which has a mix of fine sandy areas and craggy rocks to climb on – and it’s all free for site guests to use. It’s all very handy for families who’d like to hang out at the beach, as you can easily mix up seaside time with hours spent at the play area or the multisports area (for five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis or table football) – and all without the need to travel from the site. Of course, it is a wise option to leave the site from time to time, as this is a fabulous part of the world to explore, especially if you like beaches. There are several lovely sandy areas to visit nearby, and that’s all made nice and easy by the campsite’s partnerships with local agencies that hire out bikes, scooters and quads. If you’d like to venture a bit further, have a chat to the people at reception who can hook you up with organised excursions to the Aeolian Islands or other destinations in Sicily. Another handy feature of this site is the hourly shuttle bus that runs to Cefalù for city centre strolls and shopping. If you don’t fancy the journey, pick up supplies at the site’s mini market or grab a table at the bar to have cool drinks brought to you.

Beautiful spot with beach access and sea views. Friendly staff. Clean facilities, though hot showers cost extra. Pitches are decent but some found them tight, with parking off-site. Insects and hard ground noted. Shuttle bus to Cefalù is handy.

Liked The site was lovely but very busy. Close to cefalu with a cheap bus service. No toilet seats in facilities seems Italians don't need them?? Also extra for showers. The beach is rocky but sea is clear with small fish. Pitches are a good size.the cleaning guy was lovely and friendly. Also the guy who placed everyone was very friendly.

Disliked We had booked for 2 weeks but decided to leave early and had to pay for whole stay- really thought that was out of order as people's plans change and it was a busy site. WiFi was patchy.

Perfect campsite!
Just a few steps from the sea, shaded pitches under pine trees, clean showers, and super friendly staff.
The ideal spot to relax and enjoy nature, with Cefalù just minutes away for food and sightseeing.

Liked Camping Oase. Sehr ruhig und gepflegt. Direkter Strandzugang. Mit dem Bus, der direkt vor dem Platz hält, in 20 minuten der Stadt. Schöne Stellplätze.

Liked Clean and comfortable sanitary blocks. quiet at night. enough shadow.

Disliked Yes, there is sea access but very limited. unfortunately no pool. Unfortunately you still need tokens for the showers. The road into town is too dangerous in the dark, if you do not have a car the only restaurant is across the road, which is pretty good btw.

Liked Il mio soggiorno in questo campeggio è stato davvero rilassante!
La collocazione praticamente a ridosso sul mare, il paesaggio, e la quiete che regna in questa location lo rendono ideale per tutti coloro che desiderano veramente staccare la spina e godersi il vero relax.
Il personale gentile e disponibile riesce a dare un ottimo servizio (pulizia, cura del verde, assistenza per le varie necessità del cliente e la scelta più adatta alla collocazione delle varie opzioni "bungalow, camper e tende")
Collocazione a soli 2km dal centro cittadino e praticamente a 500mt dal casello autostradale.
Rapporto qualità prezzo a mio avviso ottimo.
Per chi viaggia in moto e tenda come me e, desidera avere qualche comodità (rispetto al free-camping all'aperto) direi Ottimo come scelta.

CONSIGLIATISSIMO

Spero di tornarci in una prossima volta in Sicilia

Local attractions

Cefalù (10 minutes’ drive) is well worth some of your time – the resort town has a maze of medieval streets to stroll through, plus a Romanesque cathedral and an interesting ancient washhouse that’s been turned into an art gallery. Energetic types can also climb La Rocca, but there’s also the option of more beach time if you’d rather relax. A little way south (15 minutes’ drive) is Parco delle Madonie, a 35,000-hectare nature reserve that’s got some great hikes and bike rides plus cute villages like Castelbuono (half an hour), Isnello (35 minutes) and Castellana Sicula (50 minutes), all of which are good for a wander and a meal. For a full day out, take yourselves over to Palermo (50 minutes) to visit the Palatine Chapel, the cathedral and the catacombs, and to pick up tasty street food at the various markets.
