- Family-friendly site in the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park
- Biking and hiking paths leading directly from the site
- Three pools, tennis, games room, bar-restaurant and shop
Stunning countryside, spectacular small villages, and roads wending their way through hills, gorges and forests… if that’s what holiday dreams are made of for you, then head to Camping Hello Soleil, a family-friendly site in the Ardèche.
This is the right spot for anyone who wants to get out and explore that stunning scenery: biking and hiking routes with different levels of difficulty are easily reached from here, and some start directly from the site. There are also plenty of woodland areas to visit in the southern reaches of the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park.
There’s loads to keep you active on site too: go for a dip in one of the three pools (heated via solar panels, in accordance with the site's general eco-friendly approach), play a round of miniature golf, work out at the outdoor fitness area, take part in a pétanque competition or pretend you’re on the court at Roland-Garros with a game of tennis. For something a little more sedate, have a go at ping pong, table football or billiards in the games room…
In the evening sit yourself down in the bar-restaurant for a meal or, if you prefer to venture out, head to one of the restaurants within 15 minutes of Hello Soleil. Fending for yourself is a cinch too: the on-site grocery store stocks the essentials and the town of Joyeuse is a 10-minute drive away for everything else.

Local attractions
Your first stop during your stay should definitely be the area around Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, 35 minutes' drive away, to hire canoes or kayaks to explore the Ardèche river and pass beneath the Pont d’Arc. A must-see nearby is Pont d’Arc cavern, a manmade cave replicating the paintings, drawings and engravings from the UNESCO-protected Chauvet cave.
Your journeys below the ground don’t have to end with the caverns at Pont d’Arc – Aven d’Orgnac and Madeleine cave, both within an hour of the site, are full of spectacular rocky landscapes and well worth a visit.
Fans of the vino should head to Cave de Lablachère, five minutes from the site, to follow a waymarked trail through the vineyards and the huts that sheltered workers. After that, head to Néovinum, Château de la Selve or the château cellar at Domaine des Lèbres, all within 30 minutes, for tours and tastings.
For a castle experience that doesn’t include wine, travel the 45 minutes to Château des Roures for a tour of the 14th-century castle and the silk farm, and to see the medieval siege engine, the trebuchet, in action.
