Dissappointing 😔
Powered grass and earth campsite (large)
Liked Facilities were clean. The staff were helpful. Monpazier is a walkable distance.
Disliked I knew that many of the facilities would be closed in September but thought this would be compensated by a greater choice of pitches. Sadly, we found that if you go after August, pitches offered are limited just to the small woodland area to the left of the entrance, with no sunlight, no grass, no views. We were not given the option to move to a more open pitch with some chance of sunlight when we asked. The weather was showers and sunshine so being in damp woodland just compounded not being in the open. In the loo block only one of the cubicles was left unlocked. There were workman maintaining the chalets near us. I feel we didn’t get value for money, we felt more of an inconvenience than valued guests.

From the manager: Madam,
This is why we call this opening period the low season (low prices and no total opening of the campsite).
Not enough clients to open 3 sanitary block.
You had the choice of location in the open area. And the intervention of our workers was aimed at satisfying another client who had a terrace problem.
You are right, we are considering doing like other campsites in low season... not opening the 'camping' area to avoid this type of feedback... No sun, not enough sanitation, no activities...
Great site for families to explore the Dordogne

Liked We loved the lake and the pool. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, she arranged for us to swap to a pitch with more shade which we were very grateful for in the 40deg heat.
Facilities were fine.
The location was amazing, lots to see and do. Castles, high ropes, beautiful bastide towns.
We had a lovely meal at the restaurant on site on our last night.

Powered grass and earth campsite
Liked Camping familial très reposant.
Très bon accueil et personnel compétant.
Le petit plus qui fait la différance ,le lac et ses tobogans
Disliked petit point négatif ,la piscine non chauffé et non surveillé ,se qui engendre des incivilité.

Liked Amazing place, relaxing and peaceful. We truly enjoyed the Dordogne region. We came with three teenagers, who had a great time on the lake and swimming pool. The charming bar and restaurant by the brook were a lovely addition.
I truly, can not recommend Le Moulin de David enough.
Disliked Nothing
