  • Large motorhome pitches on a working farm with a dog exercise paddock
  • A five-minute drive from several beaches and 10 minutes from Tenby
  • Small and friendly; within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
Families, couples, dogs, hikers, surfers and climbers assemble… based in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Camping at the Paddocks is a rural retreat just five minutes’ drive from a cluster of sandy south Pembrokeshire beaches. That’s not all, though, as the harbour town of Tenby is 10 minutes’ drive away too, with yet more sandy beaches, fish and chips and seal-spotting boat trips that visit Caldey Island. A small, friendly place this certainly is… the large hardstanding motorhome pitches (with a generous grass area) are set up on a working farm and well provided for, with toilets, hot gas showers, a washing-up area and a sheltered communal area where guests can prop their feet up when the weather isn't playing nice. Dogs are also looked after, as there is an enclosed one-acre exercise paddock set just a short stroll away from the pitches where they can have a proper run around. This area is geared up for foodies, with plenty of family-friendly and dog-friendly eateries nearby. St Florence (25 minutes’ walk) and Manorbier (35 minutes) both have a pub and shop, and there’s a garden centre (15 minutes’ walk) with a café that serves everything from coffee to Sunday dinners. Main supermarkets can be tracked down in Tenby, and there's a petrol station five minutes’ drive away too. Nicely fed and watered, you might want to head to one of a handful of beaches five minutes’ drive away: Skrinkle Haven, Lydstep, Manorbier and Swanlake beaches. There are also activity centres, watersports and an adventure zoo set a short drive away.

What customers say

This glamping spot offers a tranquil country getaway with great access to beaches and attractions. Guests rave about the spotlessly clean, well-kept facilities, private washrooms, and fully kitted-out cooking shelters. Host Jan is often noted for her exceptional helpfulness. Minor issues like no electricity or spotty phone signal are overshadowed by the highly recommended, well-planned glamping experience.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked This is a fantastic camping site, best stop we had on our 3 weeks holiday in the UK. The facility is extremely well maintained by it's lovely owner Jan, who pays such attention to every single detail that she makes you feel like this is home.
The location is very calm, and the cleanliness is clinical.
Thanks Jan for welcoming us !

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked If you’re looking for the perfect little escape, this place truly is it!
We stayed in our camper van on this charming farm campsite, and it couldn’t have been better. From the moment we arrived, Jan welcomed us with a big smile and made us feel right at home nothing was ever too much trouble.
The setting is gorgeous, surrounded by peaceful countryside, with the occasional visit from the friendly horses and their adorable foals—it really adds to the magic. The showers and toilets were plentiful, spotless, and always well looked after, which made things even more comfortable.
Although the site feels beautifully tucked away from the hustle and bustle, the train station is just a pleasant 10-minute stroll, and from there it’s only a short ride into Tenby and beyond if you’d like to explore further.
All in all, we had such a lovely stay here and can’t recommend it enough!

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked The pitch size and the field. Nice and quiet. Nice warm welcome.

Disliked There is no hot water after going to the toilet to wash hands which I’m not used to and no hot water to wash pots which I have never had at a campsite before and the curry from tea did not come off as no hot water. No data and no internet and wi fi is not offered

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Hot showers. Quiet farm location. 10 minutes walk to train station where you can go to stations from Pembrook to Cardiff. Manobier castle and beach close by. Host very friendly and made sure we had all we needed.

Disliked Pitches not level. However, lots of wooden chocks provided by the host to level up.

From the manager: Thanks very much for taking the time to leave us a review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.
Thank you for the feedback regarding the pitch, as you say, not perfectly level at the moment, (more "farmer level than motorhome level"!, so we will have a machine in to make some adjustments in the near future. In the meantime, we are happy to provide extra chocs. We look forwa.rd to welcoming you back in the future

Would highly recommend for those looking for a quiet nights rest!

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked A well-kept, small, quiet site with fabulous views of the countryside. Large pitches set a good distance apart but not quite level, although wooden chocks are available on site. Toilets and showers were clean, with good water pressure and temperature in the showers. . The hosts were friendly and helpful. We would definately recommend it.

Disliked No hot water for the washing up sink

From the manager: Thanks very much for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate it. So glad you liked the site and our beautiful views.
Sorry about only having cold water for washing up. Being off grid, I am afraid, we have to rely on our guests boiling a kettle at the moment! We can look into the possibility of putting a small gas water boiler there in future. We are happy to receive feedback which can help us to give our guests the best possible experience.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked This campsite is small, but very comfortable and well equipped. There are 3 toilets & 3 showers between 5 pitches. The facilitates are modern and clean, with a rustic charm to them. The communal area is a nice touch and place to sit out of the elements. Pitches are a good size, and spaced apart. Slight slopes so would recommend bringing chocks.

The roads to the site were in good condition. Warm and friendly welcome by Jan, who gave us some great recommendations on things to do.

The site is on a working farm, so there are animals nearby, which for us was a bonus as we watched the cows herded in, and had horses come to visit us in the field adjacent to the campsite.

Disliked Nothing at all.
