  • Dog-friendly site on a working farm in Rhos on Sea
  • A 25-minute walk from the beach and a 10-minute drive from Llandudno
  • Surrounded by country walks and a short walk from pubs and a shop
Country walks, pub lunches and buckets full of beach trips… to list out every single thing you have to look forward to at Dinarth Hall Caravan and Camping would take some time, as this North Wales site is very conveniently based in the town of Rhos on Sea, 10 minutes’ drive from Llandudno and five minutes’ drive away from Colwyn Bay Beach. If you’re very much a countryside sort of person, it’ll be nice news that the site is on a working farm setting surrounded by fields and country walks with horses frequently passing by the site. There are just basic facilities, including toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a washing machine and dryer for laundry. There’s a lovely country pub just half an hour’s walk away for your supper or an American diner-style restaurant 10 minutes’ walk away in the other direction. If you’d rather sort yourself out, have a wander up the hill to the small shop 10 minutes’ walk away. The bus, which stops at the end of the road, comes just over every 10 minutes if you feeling like abandoning the car for the weekend. Not that you’ll need it that much if you’ve got beach days at the top of your agenda, because it’s only a 25-minute walk to Rhos on Sea beach and Colwyn Bay Beach is also within walking distance. If you’re driving to Colwyn Bay, there’s plenty of parking (and lots of ice cream vans to go with that). You may want to shift your watersports gear or bicycles down there, as there’s a cycling path along the front and often great conditions for some water activities.

What customers say

This campground offers spacious sites and friendly staff in a handy location near Llandudno and local shops. Facilities are basic but generally clean and functional, though some say they're a bit dated. Farm animals are a hit! Mud and noise from other campers can be an issue during busy times.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked I loved the place will be going again, friendly staff, hot/cold water, showers, and beautiful views, 5 mins to Rhos on sea, and not far to Llandudno. Prices are great electric option, also quiet after 10pm which all people keep to, all the family enjoyed the stay.

Disliked Wifi doesn't work in the far field

Liked The phone signal was good.

Disliked The toilets and shower block were very unclean. To the point we didn’t use them at all. It was also quite a noisy Site, with other guests not caring what time it was making noise.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked I liked it due to the fact we’ve been here on numerous occasions, ideal area, leave the van and take a trip into Llandudno and normally spacious and quiet with a lovely sunset

Disliked I disliked it this time due to being unable to move our van until the 5 around us moved the following morning, the kids being on their holidays I can cope with , just not the adults arguing between one field to another, the couple arguing about ‘who had her line!’ And the guy at the other side didn’t shut up chatting crap until 6am !! The fact that going the bathroom at 11 o’clock was a lot to be desired when a Randy couple had the middle cubicle (paint fell off the wall !) .. but I won’t be put off, i will be back as it’s the place we like, but on a much more quieter time and only hope this was a one off

Local attractions

Llandudno (10 minutes’ drive) is a cracking spot for a good wander, with shops, a pier, a promenade and a beach. You may spot a few goats wandering around the edge of town; they’ll have lost their way from Great Orme (20 minutes) just past Llandudno. The green limestone slopes of the Great Orme are not just for the goats, of course, with a tramway and a cable car providing access to the fab views from the 209-metre slope, a café or a playground. Back in Llandudno, get picked up by one of the open-top buses which run in summer from Llandudno Pier. They head over to stunning Conwy (10 minutes’ drive), past the spectacular 13th-century Conwy Castle, cobbled streets, bakeries and the cobbled streets typical of such a traditional Welsh port town.
