What customers say
This family-run campground is lauded for its spotless grounds, ample spots, and gorgeous rural vistas. Owners are consistently friendly and helpful. Facilities, like washrooms and showers, are very clean. Many love the peaceful vibe, though a few noted pitch slopes and dated amenities.

Don’t bother seriously ! very unfriendly site owner
Powered grass tent or RV campsite
Liked site seemed lovely , toilets and shower blocks really clean
Disliked where do i start !! the owner needs to learn some customer service skills , appeared to have a issue with our group booking only once she received everyone’s payments , owner was made aware on several occasion’s before arriving that we was a group booking.
family members obviously arrived at different parts of the early afternoon, and her welcoming message was to inform each group that her husband was a police man ?? not really sure what she was trying to imply by informing us this, anyway the 5 tents we had between us we set up too take as small of the field as possible , even though we had all paid for individual pitches. That’s where her first issue was , second issue was that whilst i was setting up my grandson aged 5 accidentally released my little frenchie off her lead , yes i am totally aware all dogs on leads at all times , but she literally went for a little sniff and a wee and was quickly recalled back to be placed back on her lead and grass peg. Owner literally came bouncing over to our area waving the rules and regulations to us about dogs off leads , apologies given but clearly not accepted. 3 of the pitches was still setting, owner approached our pitches on 3 separate occasions within ten minutes of eachother requesting the payments and only by bank transfer will be accepted. i explained on our behaves as soon as we have emptied the cars we will all be sending over the remaining balances , on her 3rd visit requesting the balance we decided to stop what we was doing ( emptying the cars ) and we all sent the balance to her, she then requested that the cars needed to be moved as they was blocking the part of the field that emergency services would need access to, i explained to the owner that we was still in the process of emptying our vehicles and they will be moved to the designated area as we had already been shown, cars was removed to designated area the minute they was emptied.
There was a small hillside behind our tents , the kids asked if they could do a small slip and slide which sounded like good fun for them and we have done this numerous times on previous sites. the the 6 children that was with us all took turns taking their turn sliding down , laughing and enjoying themselves, some of our neighbouring campers asked if their children could join in, nothing better seeing the kids making friends whilst camping and having fun and making memories . Then i was surprised to receive a message from the owner asking me why i thought it was ok to turn her campsite into a water park ? a polite reply was sent explaining the kids was just having a bit of fun with some other children, needless to say she wasn’t happy and requested it to be taken down in half an hour, we took it down after 20 mins .Anyway the evening continued with the children sat outside our tents, some on their ipads some just talking , as where the adults sat outside our tents having a chat, laughing as you do whilst camping . My mobile phone was inside the tent on volume 3 playing smooth Fm as i am well aware of loud music being played , at this point it was 19:55 , rules was no music to be played after 20:00. We was surprised to see the owner once again bouncing over demanding the music to be turned off as she could hear it from her property which was approximately almost half a mile away over 2 fields ? There was not a chance this was the truth , she was very very unprofessional when speaking.Anyway next morning a txt requesting us to leave , which we said we would if she was happy to refund for the 2nd night , she refused , she phoned the police , police told her to reimburse us for the 2nd day/night she agreed to 50% which we accepted and went on our way Definitely not suitable for children , also states no ball games . Oh and 1 more thing her dog also a frenchie must of got out , ended up on our field where my dog was being walked on lead and it went for my dog !! Owner’s response was her dogs are allowed off lead on the site 🙄

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Fabulous campsite , very clean facilities, showers are large and easily to move about in . We only stayed one night but wished we'd stayed a few more . There was a group on the campsite who where noisy late into the early hours, disturbing the other campers , But the owner had to get the police in and get them removed . So if your planning a rowdy night drinking and singing into the early morning better plan another site .
