What customers say

This immaculately maintained site gets high praise for cleanliness, friendly staff, and beautiful countryside location. Guests loved the spacious pitches, excellent facilities (spotless shower blocks!), and central playground. Many found the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views relaxing. A few noted slightly sloped pitches & occasional road noise. Highly recommended for a tranquil, well-equipped escape.

Powered grass campsite (family)

Liked We've stayed at several parks this year and this one is one of the cleanest and well kept parks. The playground for the children to play in situated in the centre of the camping field is great and the kids loved walking through the wild meadow and picking apples from the orchid. Overall I would highly recommend!

Liked Pristine site conditions
Grass pitch was well maintained and spacious!
The toilet block was *chefs kiss*
Individual rooms with toilet and shower inside. Perfectly cleaned, smelling great, and even great music playing so you can fart in peace haha!
A lovely call from one of the site owners before our stay, couldn’t have been more hospitable! We had to arrive late and they had left a sealed envelope for us with a site map and clear and detailed instructions
It was a really quiet site, lots of respectful and quiet neighbours (unfortunately we were the loud ones coming in late! Sorry!)
Lovely location
Washing up basins with fairy and brushes provided
Best price of our whole week of sites for bringing a gazebo and dog
Really good value

Primitive grass tent campsite (wild, sloping)

Liked This was a wonderful one-nighter. Our pitch was on a beautiful meadow where other sites would have crammed in twice the number of units at least. As a result there was loads of distance between us and neighbouring campers. The toilets were more like a good en-suite with shower, loo and wash basin in one large cubicle, with plenty of hooks and shelves to keep clothes dry etc. The welcome was friendly and the site was easy to find. A lovely quiet site which knows exactly how to do it and does it very well indeed.

Disliked Nothing at all.

Primitive grass tent campsite (wild, sloping)

Liked Loved everything. We stayed in the wild camping field and it was amazing. Beautiful views and perfect setting. Facilities were great too. Warm, heated shower block - cleaned daily; information area with charging port and freezer; and washing up area with soap and brushes provided.

Staff were friendly and approachable but also left you to it, which is perfect.

Our son loved the play area and how family friendly it was. He made loads of friends and we felt comfortable letting him run around and be free.

We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked The whole park is absolutely gorgeous. There is a spacious play area for the kids, lovely field for dogs, orchard which you can help yourself to and a gorgeous views of the surrounding fields.

Plenty of bins throughout the complex means the place is kept nice and tidy.

Staff are very friendly and keep things very nice and neat and could be seen checking on the facilities through out the day.

The pitch had easy access to washing up and toilet facilities and the hook ups are per pitch meaning they are very close and don’t need long extension leads.

Only a 6 minute drive from Hay-on-Wye with plenty of lovely walks and activities around.

Disliked Our pitch was sloped which wasn’t a big issue especially with us having a 7meter long tent. For a smaller tent it wouldn’t cause any issues as you could place it in the middle.

Local attractions

Once you’ve filled your boots in Hay-on-Wye’s numerous bookshops, there’s more to do in town, including exploring the castle, strolls and picnics by the river, and fortifying stops in the many hostelries and eateries. If you fancy further river ventures, make for Glasbury (10 minutes' drive away) to hire canoes and kayaks for trips down the Wye. Should you prefer the ease of an engine-driven craft, the base at Llangattock (40 minutes) has cruisers for daily hire. If it’s walks at height you’re after, Talgarth (15 minutes) is a starting point for paths up the Black Mountains’ highest peak, Waun Fach; for gentle wooded wanders with a waterfall at the end, plus wildlife spotting on the way, head over to the Pwll y Wrach nature reserve (20 minutes). To see the Beacons on horseback, there are treks of various lengths from Llangorse Multi Activity Centre (25 minutes), as well as indoor climbing and high up zipwires and rope walks both inside and out. If that’s not energetic enough, Oakerwood Leisure (40 minutes) has pastimes like paintballing, quad biking and clay pigeon shooting to get the adrenaline pumping. Historical type? Clamber round ancient sites like Crickhowell Castle and Llanthony Priory (35 and 45 minutes), puff through the hills on the Brecon Mountain Railway from Pant (50 minutes), or descend deep into mining heritage at the Big Pit National Coal Museum, an hour away.
