  • Small, friendly family-run Ceredigion site two miles from Aberaeron
  • A 10-minute drive to New Quay; walk to the Ceredigion Coast Path
  • Sea views and stunning sunsets on site; dogs and kids welcome
Sea views, stunning sunsets, stacks of space and a splendidly relaxed vibe… what more could you want from a Ceredigion campsite? (If the answer’s ‘somewhere we can take the dogs and kids’, then you’ll be pleased to hear they’re both most welcome here.) Garth View is a place that’s got all of the above – this small family-run site looks out over a lovely valley with the sea in the distance, and it prides itself on offering a warm Welsh welcome to its guests. It’s a no-fuss setup here, favouring simple pleasures over lots of facilities, but it's possible to hire firepits and freeze ice packs and you'll have access to a converted container that houses two bathrooms (including hot-water showers, sinks and toilets), as well as two single toilets and separate washing area. The location here is a real winner too: Garth View is easily accessed from the A487, and it’s within walking distance of the Ceredigion Coast Path. The harbour town of Aberaeron, only two miles away, has plenty of places to eat. A 200-year-old pub which is dog-friendly and serves homecooked food is a 10-minute walk away too. The Moody Calf Play Barn, a venue with a play barn, farm shop, bistro, trampoline, foam pit and events venue is a 20-minute walk away. If you'd rather self cater, a couple of convenience stores are about five minutes’ walk away. The local launderette is a 10-minute walk away. Lots of the best-loved spots along the West Wales coast are within easy reach for days out: it’s a 10-minute drive to New Quay for wildlife-spotting boat trips or half an hour to Cardigan, a hub for watersports and other outdoorsy activities. The beaches of Llangrannog and Tresaith are about 20 minutes away, or you can venture a little further to Aberporth (25 minutes) or Mwnt (35 minutes). For a bigger town, head north to Aberystwyth in just over half an hour.

What customers say

Garth View provides a serene getaway with beautiful ocean vistas and gorgeous sunsets. Guests rave about spotless facilities, including roomy showers. Owner Giovanna's friendly welcome and helpfulness are often mentioned. It's a great base for exploring, with a shop nearby. Road noise was a minor concern for a few. Electric hook-ups are coming soon.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Beautiful little campsite. Lovely clean and well kept field and facilities. Only a few minutes from Aberaeron and close to New Quay.
Lovely big porches which are clearly marked. We took 6 dogs and the site was happy to accommodate.
Super friendly on the phone when I called to check in. Then one of the owners came to say hi in person.
There were fire pits and fuel available I think for hire/ purchase. I didn’t use any myself.
Lovely hot showers. A kitchen area with fridge/freezer/ microwave.
Would reccomemd to anyone wanting a campsite near both places.
Will definitely return to this campsite if I’m camping in the area again.
Thank you ☺️

Primitive grass campsite

Liked A little piece of paradise – everything we wanted and more!

We’ve just come back from staying at this campsite and we cannot recommend it enough! First of all, the location and views are absolutely amazing – waking up and looking out over such beautiful scenery was the highlight of our trip.

What made it even better were the little touches: it was so useful to have a communal fridge and freezer on-site that guests are welcome to use whenever needed – such a thoughtful addition you don’t always get at campsites!!

But the best part by far is the manager! She is the loveliest lady you could wish to meet. She regularly came round to check on everyone, just to make sure we were all comfortable, happy and had everything we needed. She’s so friendly, approachable and lovely to chat to – she really goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great time.

Clean, convenient, beautiful surroundings and the friendliest host – this place is perfect. We’re already planning our next visit! Thank you so much for having us!

If you’re looking for a calm, beautiful place to camp with really helpful, friendly people running it – this is the one! Can’t wait to go back 😊⛺️

Liked The view of the sea and sunset was beautiful. Giovanna was excellent checking everything was OK. Although busy no real issues with the small number of showers or toilets. A great campsite. The nearby bus stop is a bonus.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked A stunning location in mid Wales. Easily located using Google maps, pitches well spaced. Opted to rent a fire pit and supplies, well worth the money (£15 and supplies lasted two nights with option to purchase more if required) as the predicted bank holiday heatwave did not stick around fully. Showers and toilets well maintained, showers are (individual and both) spacious with shelves/hooks to store items. The freezer was great for cycling the ice packs for the cool box, although there is a fridge available. Giovanna is a top host checking in to make sure your stay is easy and comfortable both prior and during the stay. A campsite I'll certainly return to! Only stayed 2 nights and so much more to see around the area!

FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked There are good view behind you as long as you can put up with main road and noise at the front.

Disliked Right on main road, entrance looks like a scrap yard. We pulled in and back out, stayed elsewhere.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you chose not to stay with us. As mentioned in our listing, the campsite is located close to the A487 for easy access to the coast and surrounding areas. While everyone experiences locations differently, many of our guests comment that the site remains peaceful and that road noise is minimal once on the pitches.

We were also disappointed to read your comments regarding the entrance appearance, as we work hard to maintain a relaxed, family-run campsite with clean facilities, spacious pitches and beautiful sea views and sunsets, which are regularly highlighted in guest reviews.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and wish you all the best with your future travels.

Kind regards Giovanna
