What customers say
This charming, peaceful site offers beautiful rural walks near National Trust parkland. Facilities are generally clean, with some underfloor heating. The owner is very welcoming. Occasional train noise and minor tidying needed.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Very nice and friendly place. Corina helped me out when I needed it and did the best to make us feel taken care of and well. Quiet spot with friendly, curious cows in the next field. Super clean facilities. Thanks for everything.
Disliked The train can be loud and drives until late in the evening.

Liked Simple friendly campsite. Basic facilities just as you would expect from this kind of campsite.
Disliked Some guest state they dislike the noise of the train. It is quite audible but only like 10 seconds or so and not during the night so for no big deal.

Liked Lovely location for walking! Good size pitch
Disliked 1 male toilet, 1 female toilet and one shower/toilet room - had to wait a few times and not ideal with small children.
Trampoline net is a hazard with broken pole sticking out.

Great site, friendly staff, clean.

Liked Very well organised site, clean toilets and shower. Lovely host who made you feel welcome even before we arrived. Goes above and beyond. There is a railway runs past but is not a problem. Lots of space at the back of the site which belongs to the national trust. They are building another shower so that will be up and running when we revisit next year. Tidy, clean and friendly. There is a playground just less than half a mile away for children. A pub a mile away. Would recommend this site to all. Reasonably priced as well. Plenty of places to visit within easy reach.
Disliked Noise from a rave off the site. Not the fault of the site at all.
