Glastonbury Tor on the horizon. Surrounded by the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Overlooking the Somerset Levels. No need to bother about putting up a tent. There’s an awful lot to love about Tor View Glamping, in a spectacular rural position near Wells in Somerset.
And it’s the glampsite that just keeps on giving. Just two ultra-stylish bell tents tucked into a hillside strewn with wild flowers, with plenty of room between each tent for total privacy. Each tent is fitted with luxurious furnishings including a proper double bed (all linens provided), ample storage in chests and drawers, and lots of little luxuries like fresh flowers, solar-powered lighting and snuggly blankets.
Outside both bell tents is panoramic wooden decking with picnic-bench seating; just the spot for a bit of R&R with a glass of (complimentary) Prosecco in hand.
Personal-use compost toilets and hot showers add to the tally of handy comforts on site. There's also a well-equipped private kitchen with personal sets of pots, pans, cutlery and so on within a larger shared kitchen block (covered so you can cook no matter what the weather is doing) . Barbecues are also provided if you feel like a dreamy night around the campfire while gazing out over the views.
A couple of practicalities: the bell tents sleep two, but a camp bed can be provided for a child, and sorry, no dogs on site.
