What customers say
Great location opposite Lansdown Park & Ride for easy Bath access. Staff (esp. John) are helpful. Pitches are flat and well-kept. Toilets/showers are clean, with recent additions. Some noted peak-time facility strain; manager is addressing hot water for dishes. Secure entry, peaceful vibe.

Near to Lansdown Park and Ride…
Primitive grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Near to Lansdown Park and Ride for Bath
Disliked Not mentioned that the overflow gravel motorhome area is more like 10 minutes from Park & Ride for elderly walkers, rather than the 2-3 minutes for the motorhome area near the gate.
Having a combined shower, wash basin and toilet unit at the overflow gravel area means that there is less time when the toilet is accessible. A separate toilet would help.

From the manager: I am sorry you had to walk a bit further to reach the park and ride opposite us. Atleast it was all tarmac driveway.
I think if the weather was better, it would not of been so bad?
The main campsite was fully booked by the time you booked, so there was no other option but to be in the overflow area.
Its advisable to book much further in advance for the Christmas Market period, and place a note or contact us prior to booking, stating any special requests in the future especially if you have a dissability.
The overflow area was only completed this year, just for the Christmas market, we will aim to add more additional units when we can afford to do so.
Thank you for your review

Great stay for the Xmas market without all the hassle
Primitive grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Great little site for an easy hassle free stop over in Bath. John was really helpful via text messages/email. Parked up in the gravel overflow car park by the main house. Proper flushing loo and shower here to use… others down in the min field which we didn’t use. Had put up Xmas lights which was a lovely little touch. Very secure as only in and out with your code! Great location for park and ride.. less than 5 mins to walk for bus in to Bath centre. Thanks John… hope to be back again 👍
Disliked Nothing…..was great…if I was being really picky then maybe another separate loo at the top as shower and loo in one unit but having one worked well enough 👍so no complaints

Ok for location but won't be using again.
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Close to the park and ride was amazing!
Disliked Extremely muddy, no electric hook up so we were very cold and wet all the time. The water in the hand basins was freezing cold. I know the site couldn't do anything about the weather but not having any hard walkways meant that we were constantly covered in mud and only cold water to wash it off. The shower was hot but I didn't feel clean afterwards because of the muddy floor.

From the manager: This is why most campsites close for winter. Please expect grounds to be wet and muddy in December.
All photos of the campsite and pitches are up to see before booking, so you can be prepared what to expect. We would love to put pathways in but the council are delaying us from doing so as its green belt land.
The toilets are cleaned daily, there is astroturf infront the toilets to reduce mud in the bathrooms, mats at the door and dry mops provided for everyone to use.
The pitch you booked was non electric, we do not advertise we have electric. If you book a non electric pitch in December in the UK, please expect it to be cold and wet and make appropriate arrangements to be warm and have appropreate footwear for campsites on farmland/in fields.
Thank you.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked The location is perfect to hop on the bus into Bath city centre.
Beautiful sunrise and countryside feel (apart from the main road but this can’t be helped)
Disliked It would be good to have hot water at the wash basins to wash hands and face.

Liked Excellent location, right opposite park and ride. Every 15 minutes for the bus to Bath and runs until 11.30pm.
Secure sight and friendly owner, kept well informed of access codes etc,
Nice level pitch.
Would stay again

Good city campsite.
Primitive grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Very easy to get into Bath. We went in mid- October in a camper, so not busy. An attractive site. Facilities fine, but quite basic. We didn't use it, but the sauna looked fab. Secure gate at entrance.

Lovely little site and a must if you are visiting bath.
Primitive grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Right on the edge of Bath, literally opposite the park and ride so we walked over, caught bus into town for the day, went sight seeing, few beers and bus back.
Disliked £30 per night and no electric hook up seems steep however you soon realise you are probably paying for location as it doesn’t get better/easier to visit Bath than pitching up here!
