True back to nature site with the added bonus of clean compost loos
Primitive grass RV campsite (wild)
Liked We booked very last minute as we usually do. Katie was very helpful and quick to respond and promptly set us up with a pitch for the night.
The site has wonderful sea views with beautiful sunsets. There was no noise other than birdsong to wake up to. Even the lack of a signal on our phones (probably our provider) was a blessing and we felt we could relax and enjoy an evening by a fire pit and forget the outside world. We won’t hesitate to return.
Friendly owners, stunning views, a great wild camping experience.
Primitive grass RV campsite (wild)
Liked The site was perfect for what we wanted - a wild experience with a compost toilet for our young children, but also suitable for camper vans. The toilet was nice and clean, and there was access to water although we didn't need it on this occasion.
Absolutely stunning views over the river Severn to Wales and very close to the South West Coast Path for walking.
The pitches were the most spacious we've ever seen on a site, and not lots crammed together - despite sharing a field with another pitch we didn't hear anything and felt we were on our own and could be ourselves - not something you often feel free from with young children.
We met the owners on site in the morning who were lovely and welcoming and had time to talk to our son about a nest he'd found on the site.
Directions to our pitch were easy to follow, and communication beforehand was great.
We will be back for certain!
A beautifully peaceful sight, could see Deer, Fox and birds of prey
Primitive grass tent campsite (wild)
Liked A beautifully peaceful sight, could see Deer, Fox and birds of prey from our pitch. It's amazing how much space you get and the distance between the pitches.
Disliked The only negative which isn't the pitch owners fault was the site is very exposed and the wind did detract from the experience. If you pitch up the top by the hedges I think this would reduce that problem.
Stunning campsite with friendly owner but very windy
Primitive grass tent campsite (wild)
Liked Beautiful sea views
Clean compost loo
Friendly & helpful - delivered extra tent pegs when we'd discovered our tent was missing some
Lots of space between plots
Right on the coastal path for walking
Disliked Sea views meant the campsite is quite exposed to the wind. We were there on a windy weekend and we ended up going home a night early as the tent was very loud. Not sure I'd go back with a tent but I definitely would if we had a van.
From the manager: Hey Anna, thanks for your review - it's such a shame the weather turned just before the bank holiday - typical! It had been lovely, calm and sunny the week before. Hope we can tempt you back at some point :)
We loved the spacious tent patch that we were allocated .We'll be back

Primitive grass RV campsite (wild)
Liked Fab site, best one of our week-long trip, amazing sunset, great compost loos, a quality camping ground as a ‘back to nature’ kinda way. Excellent comms/emails from the site before we arrived which made things seem so welcoming. No wifi… perfect for us.
Disliked Nothing!
From the manager: Thanks for the wonderful review Ange and the gorgeous picture - what a sunset! Hope to have you back soon x

Liked Peaceful, exactly as described! lovely views
Disliked slightly rickety track and overgrown field in car to get there but fine if take steady. Expensive for basic campsite.
From the manager: Thanks for your review - I'm really pleased you had a good stay. The grass is on the long side as the field is 'laid up' ready to make organic hay in mid-late June for our cows :)
