Liked: Beautiful site with friendly owner (Karen). Large pitches (will cater for Motorhomes above 6 m despite what it says on pitch up - one of ours was 8.4 m). On-site shop and good, clean, facilities. Well positioned for the lovely village of Clovelly (30 minute walk).

Liked: Really friendly owners who offered me pick up/drop off to coast path. Great clean facilities. Handy shop with extra bits if you needed them and a kettle. Chickens in a pen on site!
Disliked: A little close to the road but that can't be helped!

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Lovely site, small but clean facilities and the owners were really lovely and helpful. Lovely chickens and fresh eggs available too!
Disliked: Paying £1 for a 5 minute shower after paying £25 for a pitch. Which means every shower was an extra £2. Also, nowhere for freezing ice packs which are essential in summer unless you’re expected to drive miles to buy fresh dairy produce each day.

From the manager: Hi Michelle. It does state you need to have £1.00 for the showers on Pitchup. We do have a chest freezer you could have put your packs in. Thanks for your review.

Liked: The campsite was lovely, not too busy or crammed together and we had loads of space on our pitch. The pizzas on Saturday evening were really great and the owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome! It's within walking distance to a couple of lovely towns and 5 mins drive to several beautiful nearby beaches as well. Facilities are simple but very clean and tidy.
Disliked: The campsite is next to a main road so it was a little loud with traffic sounds sometimes, so bear in mind if you are a light sleeper!

Disliked: Noisy road right next to pitch. Grass pitch sloped and was difficult to drive off as slippery.
