What customers say
A welcoming, family-run farm campsite with beautiful rural views. Owners are exceptionally helpful. Facilities are clean and functional (hot showers, fridge/freezer). The on-site restaurant is popular for home-cooked food. Relaxed atmosphere, great for kids. Mostly positive, many want to return.

You are allowed fires. I think this is the only positive.

Liked Not much to like here.
Poor site.
Disliked The site was run down and terrible.
Being placed next to a disused caravan on a hill. No view of anything.
Very noisy.
People arriving back at midnight with crying babies and dogs barking.
Pretty strong smell of weed over the fires.
Facilities are very poor. Not many of them and next to some very grumpy caravans of people that live on the site.
Very rough around the edges.
We were greeted with quite a rude lady.
When we asked if we could have a flat pitch we were told the pitch is as flat as it’s going to get.
I would not have eaten in the cafe shop. And would question if it has been pest proofed and has any food rating.
The WiFi was poor and I watched some tv using my 4g.
Location wise nothing else at all is near.
Apart from that it was great!!

From the manager: Good morning.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay here, although it seems not the right site for you.
When selecting pitches we assess what is available for each campers needs and to this end we try to space the dogs out, including yours, give shade etc and this was what was available for your one night stay here.
The only persons living on site are ourselves with all caravans being enjoyed for holidays/weekend breaks.
Thank you for your comments, we aim keep a well run site and farm with a high number of returning campers/glampers, and feel for whatever reason in this instance your opinion was way off the mark .

Liked The view was incredible to wake up to. The food in the restaurant was delicious, we arrived late and had dinner and finished our adventure with breakfast on our last morning after packing up the car. 10 - 10 for both meals. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Everything you need for a camping trip. I would definitely recommend this site, lovely and quiet, friendly and clean toilets & showers . I didn't sample any food as I was enjoying the fire pit & cooking my own stuff. But I must admit all the cakes looked lovely. My son loved the tree swing.
Disliked Didn't dislike anything.
