Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked The farm walk, feeding the animals and the tractor/trailer ride.
The stunning views of Dartmoor.

Disliked The cleanliness of the toilets/showers. The location of toilets/showers. The discrimination against disabled users - charging for a key to the toilet.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We take cleanliness very seriously at our campsite and as soon as the faeces was reported, a member of our team went to clean this immediately. We want to assure you that we are committed to providing equal access for all our customers and do not discriminate against anyone. The £5 refundable deposit for the disabled toilet key is in place solely to ensure the facilities remain secure and available for those who need them. The deposit is fully refunded when the key is returned, and we are always happy to assist anyone who needs access.

Liked Everything about this place. The huge pitch, the huge site, every single amenity you can think of. Showers are very clean and tidy as were the toilets. Loved the family shower room too - much better for my son and I to use together. The animals were lovely and well cared for and my son couldn’t believe our luck at being pitched right next to the alpacas. Staff were friendly and helpful, the overall vibe was lovely. And the views and sunsets were outstanding!

Liked Excellent site for a family holiday. Bar and restaurant on site the food was lovely. Catering van in the mornings doing coffees and milkshakes. Breakfast cobs were lovely.
Everyone really friendly....my husband and son commented everytime we went through the barrier your barrier is "NICE" they both drove me insane with the silly joke. Good place for travelling to paignton Brixham and torquay. Best dog friendly beach is goodrington sands north with a pub close to the entrance to the beach. Nice beach shop nearby too. Wasnt easy getting onto the pitch with a twin axle and pickup truck....it is tight but manageable with some wiggling. There are some bigger pitches/lanes so would be worth checking if you have a large setup.
There is wifi but not really usable certainly on Lane F. Although 5g signal is perfect.

Local attractions

You might be all of a dither trying to decide which Devon attraction to visit first, as coast, country, active options and peaceful pursuits are all near Parkers Farm, whether you prefer off the beaten track or more famed areas like Dartmoor National Park. Beaches first? Your pitch is a paltry 12 miles from the Devon coastline and the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. If you’d like to cram as much activity as possible into one area, Dartmoor National Park's your spot: start off with horse riding or pony trekking from one of the several stables (the park has different areas marked off for different levels of rider). More urban(e)ly, Exeter, Newton Abbot and Ashburton are close to hand too if you fancy some shopping, a dip in Ashburton’s heated outdoor pool or a small flutter at Exeter Racecourse on the Haldon Hills.
