What customers say
Anchor Barrow gets top marks for its great facilities, cleanliness, friendly staff, and amazing views. Guests love the bar, food, and entertainment (live music!). It's dog-friendly, super chill, and spacious. A bit windy sometimes, and the beach path is overgrown, but overall a fantastic stay.

Fantastic site and we'll certainly be back.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Fantastic site! All the things you need and loads of extras. Loved the onsite coffee & breakfast options, great food choices for evenings too, music nights and lovely areas for eating & drinking. Clean and great shower/toilet facilities, washing up area and laundry too. Very helpful team on site plus shop for the essentials. Bus stop right outside too. Very spacious and lots of room to spread out.
Disliked Nothing really!

Disliked Nowt except kids who ruin ping pong bats n balls who haven’t been brought up right and spoil the brilliant (and costly) provision for everyone else! But that’s no reflection on AB Team whatsoever.

Excellent, cannot wait to visit you again ❤️
Powered grass campsite
Liked Amazing campsite with stunning views and friendly staff; the lady who welcomes you at check in is an asset to the team and provides you with a walk round of the facilities, nothing is too much trouble!
Showers are excellent, powerful with large rose heads so you can fully shampoo and shower with ease. Ample showers/toilets and there was even baby changing available within the main blocks.
This campsite really goes the extra mile, with the options of feast nights, live music, food and breakfast offerings! The barrow bar was one of our highlights complemented with live music 🎶 and there is a nice addition of the barn with power supplies, game and table tennis all free to use. There is a small campsite shop selling essentials
Great bus service with stop right outside of the campsite which we used numerous times within our stay.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we cannot wait to visit again! X

Best campsite in cornwall
Primitive grass campsite
Liked my 4th time to anchor barrow and once again the live music, amazing food and views just make it feel special. The campsite has sheltered spots to camp in during windy forecasts. The shop has all your essentials.
Disliked Nothing to dislike! I just personally won't be visiting again during kids holidays but that isn't the campsites fault. It was just too busy to fully enjoy the hog roast and the facilities weren't as clean as im used to when i visit in shoulder seasons.

Good site, great facilities, lovely food
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The site was very up to date, the facilities were very good and clean, food was good, having the barn to go in for us was good as we went in a small tent so not much room, load of staff about and only a 15-20 mins walk to the beach. Was a pitch were you like site but they do recommend staying a fair distance from other campers and that music goes off by 10, the site is on top of a hill so winds can be quite strong at times but our tent survived and we slept well.
Price was great for us in August on a non electric pitch but the site has sockets in the barn and all around the site that are free to use so bring chargers and leads.
freezer was brilliant to keep our ice packs frozen and the washing up areas were good.
Showers and toilets were some of the best I've seen, shower was lovely and hot.

Great sight with a lovely view but the footpath is VERY overgrown.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Liked the view and facilities were clean and tidy.
Disliked The footpath down to Perranporth was VERY overgrown and almost not accessible. We persevered down the path which got progressively narrow due to overgrown weeds including thistles.

Will definitely be returning next season and staying for longer.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked In a nutshell everything... in more detail the campsite offers the perfect balance of having facilities and events on site without feeling too busy or taking you too far away from the camping experience. The food is lovely and the addition of a bar with singers/artists on the weekend means that if you don't want to venture into perranporth for evening entertainment you don't have too. Equally Perranporth is a lovely walk 20mins down through the fields and is a really nice little town. Every member of staff we spoke to at the camp were friendly and helpful. The facilities were modern and very well maintained and there was enough space for the pitches that you didn't feel cramped in. It was also completely dog friendly.
Disliked Absolutely nothing.
