What customers say

A well-kept, friendly site with spacious, level pitches. Facilities are good. Staff are polite and welcoming. Convenient for beaches and sights, with a village shop/pub nearby. Minor points: dated showers, push-button duration. Overall, very positive, with return visits desired.

Powered grass campsite

Liked We returned for a second time this year as the site is great! The facilities are clean and top notch!

Great location as only a short drive to Sennen and Lands End.

We visited the St Buryan Inn for another meal which is only a short walk, the food is home-cooked and the landlord/landlady make you feel very welcome.

Disliked We didn't want to leave

Liked The size of the pitches were great, and great value for money too with ample space for a large tent and parking. The facilities were great and really well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect to go and explore the SW coastal path and attractions such as lands end. I didn't know if there was WiFi but I did not use it if there was.

Disliked There was nothing I disliked.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked My first time camping in years, and Tower Park was just the right place for the family and myself. From the reception, to the pitches, the bathrooms to the play area. Everything was just great. We were there over the bank holiday, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The village was a very short walk and the corner shop had so much.

Disliked Nearly everyone who had dogs, ignored the site rules to keep them on leads. My walk to the main block was often met with dogs some that didn’t seem too friendly. Some new arrivals were scared away from potential pitches when dogs, not on leads hounded them.

Powered grass campsite

Liked We had such a lovely stay at this campsite! The location is perfect – just a short walk into the village and with easy access to some fabulous beaches and little coves. Fishing, swimming, and sightseeing are all right on the doorstep, which made our days really easy to plan.

The campsite itself is very well maintained. The showers and toilets were spotless, the grass areas beautifully looked after, and there are great facilities including a playground for the kids, a TV room, and laundry facilities. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, which made the experience even nicer.

This is definitely one of the best campsites we’ve visited in the last five years. It’s set on a huge field, well laid out with trees and hedgerows so even when it’s busy you don’t feel crowded.

Disliked If I had to mention one thing, it would be that a bit of shade over the kids’ playground would be a great addition – but honestly, this is such a small point, and we were lucky with the weather anyway.

Local attractions

Spend significant time on your west Cornish hol at Porthcurno, the stunning big beach that's rightly famed for its views, fine sands and clean water (if you're a connoisseur of the BBC's Poldark, you may spot that Porthcurno is the body double for Nampara Cove). There are – but of course – spectacular views from the cliffs above, where you can access the South West Coast Path if you're feeling active, or take in a show at the Minack Theatre if not. Porthcurno's also home to the award-winning Telegraph Museum, an interactive and family-focussed place that tells the tale of how the village was once the most connected area on the planet. From Porthcurno, it's about 20 minutes' drive to Penzance, 40 minutes to St Ives and half an hour to famed St Michael's Mount, the tidal island just offshore of the town of Marazion. You'll also be within easy reach of outdoorsy pursuits like surfing, fishing, sailing, kayaking, diving and climbing, and among weeks' worth of wildlife watching and birdwatching: dolphins, basking sharks, seals, leatherback turtles, Cornish choughs and peregrine falcons are among the many species to see.
