Tower Park Caravans and Camping: Rural views

General

  • Peaceful family site five miles from Land's End and stunning beaches
  • Play area, dog exercise field and TV room with free wifi
  • Five minutes' walk from village with shop, pub and post office

Go west... and then west some more, for the highly stunning scenery around lush Land's End and Tower Park Caravans and Camping, in the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Penwith peninsula.

Land's End is five miles from this scenic site (John O'Groats is 833 miles, in case you were curious), and it's four miles or about 10 minutes by car to Cornish coast and sands at Porthcurno, an award-winning beach overlooked by the fab Minack Theatre. The also-spectacular Sennen Cove and its famed surf is 10 minutes to the west from here. Closer to home, it's a five-minute stroll from the site to St Buryan village, where there's a pub, a shop and a post office.

This is a peaceful and family-run place, among splendid scenery and with plenty of room on accommodation areas and around the site. Facilities include a play area, a games room and a TV room with free wifi, along with well-kept essentials including modern showers and toilets, a launderette and a disabled-access shower room. A small shop and takeaway food are available in high season.

Tower Park welcomes dogs and has an exercise field for four-legged guests.

Very well kept site, quiet for us as the children still at school. Good showers & toilet blocks, grass kept well mowed, some tree areas for a shady spot. We had a very nice pitch, Good location for St. Ives, Penzance, Lands End & the Mousehole. The site is also not far from the Minack Theatre & St. Michaels Mount.

There is a pub in the village, although you would need to book in advance, a chip van comes around the site twice a week. We did not use the WiFi so cannot comment but we had brilliant reception on the tv.

Thank you for a great stay at your premises.

A quiet campsite/ caravan site with large amount of space for tents and caravans. Easy electric hook ups. Water taps near pitches. New clean toilet blocks. Hot showers which always had hot water whatever time of day needed! Covid secure. Friendly management team.
Our pitch was near a wooded copse which was lovely- to wake to the bird sound.
This St Buryan site has great access to South West coast path routes via the bus routes. Shop onsite and in locality - about 10 minute walk to the pub or local shop.
Bonus addition of chip van twice a week to burn off on those long walks!
A good site policy to have cars unable to enter or exit site after 11am and before 7am but a place for them to be parked if you have a late night or early start.
    Very reasonable prices.
    Dog friendly.

Local attractions

Spend significant time on your west Cornish hol at Porthcurno, the stunning big beach that's rightly famed for its views, fine sands and clean water (if you're a connoisseur of the BBC's Poldark, Porthcurno is the body double for Nampara Cove).

There are – but of course – spectacular views from the cliffs above, where you can access the South West Coast Path if you're feeling active, or take in a show at the Minack Theatre if not. Porthcurno's also home to the award-winning Telegraph Museum, an interactive and family-focussed place that tells the tale of how the village was once the most connected area on the planet.

From Porthcurno, it's about 20 minutes' drive to Penzance, 40 minutes to St Ives and half an hour to famed St Michael's Mount, the tidal island just offshore of the town of Marazion. You'll also be within easy reach of outdoorsy pursuits like surfing, fishing, sailing, kayaking, diving and climbing, and among weeks' worth of wildlife wartching and birdwatching: dolphins, basking sharks, seals, leatherback turtles, Cornish choughs and peregrine falcons are among the many species to see.

Must see

  • Land's End (6.5 kilometres)
  • St Michael's Mount (11.3 kilometres)
  • Tate St Ives (18.2 kilometres)

National Trust

  • Trengwainton Garden (6.6 kilometres)
