Clean, spacious site, large pitches & friendly staff. Toilets/showers praised. Great location for attractions/beaches. Food vendors a hit. Generally peaceful but some road/train noise possible. Few minor cleanliness/facility issues. No on-site shop noted.

Liked The size of each pitch.

Disliked The long walk to the toilets, especially at night with no lighting in the field. I am disabled and cannot walk very far and felt very vulnerable when walking in the dark to reach the toilets. I never saw one member of staff throughout the duration of my stay so can’t comment on them. I also never saw anyone cleaning the facilities (maybe because it was August bank holiday) so can’t comment on cleanliness.

From the manager: Hello, I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us.

The office was open on Friday, the day of your arrival and on Saturday, however you are correct the main office was not open on Sunday however the park owner is on site for any problems.

I've checked your booking and unfortunately you didn't not let us know your were disabled and would have preferred to be closer to the toilet block, we would have certainly tried to get you closer had we known.

The toilets are cleaned three times per day over the summer, the blocks are in field 1 and field 3. As you were in field 2 its possible you may have not seen our cleaners.

Thank you for bringing our attention to the lighting, this is the 1st comment we have received however i will certainly get this checked out in case we have some bulbs that need replacing.

Kind Regards

Nicky

St Just 3 bedroom mobile home

Liked The location is amazing for every town, nice quiet site and we had a lovely upgrade to a lodge free of charge.
Spar just up the road for essentials and a retail park just 10 minutes away with M&S, McDonald’s, Starbucks etc
I have been previously and would definitely return.

Disliked No shop on site think it would benefit from one. Would also benefit for a little bar or little burger van as you need to drive to nearest food place or shop

Local attractions

Gnome World Holiday Park is peacefully placed away from the main tourist trail of Cornwall, but cunningly sited for easy access to all the best attractions of the county's north and south. The Crealy Great Adventure Park and Newquay Zoo are both less than seven miles away. If poss plan plenty of time at the beaches of both the north and the south: at the north, head for the world-famous surfing beaches of Newquay including Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach, both of which have surf shops for kit hire and lessons. If you don't fancy plunging into the foamy depths, Porth beach, also at Newquay, doesn't allow surfing in the summer season so has a quieter family feel. To the south, Mevagissey and Fowey are both popular ports with visitors, Mevagissey for its historic harbour and Fowey for yacht spotting and a trip on the passenger ferry to Polruan or back to Mevagissey. On land, there's loads to do too, like exploring Cornwall's old tin mines, part of a World Heritage Site or having a Cornish pasty and ice cream in every old fishing village dotted along the coast. Seafood should be sampled in Padstow and art in St Ives too, or spend a day at Cornwall's best known attractions, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, both easy to get to from Mevagissey and Fowey. If you fancy a flight, take a helicopter ride to the beaut Isles of Scilly from Newquay.
