What customers say

This site has a chill, natural vibe with friendly hosts, great for Lizard Peninsula trips. Guests like the roomy, flat pitches and clean, hot showers. The free-roaming poultry are a hit, especially with kids. A few found facilities basic, noting possible cleanliness concerns & road noise. Larger vehicles might find entry tricky.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Quiet site. Short walk along a road (with no path) to footpaths leading to Lizard and Kynance cove.

Disliked Showers/toilets: clean but don’t look up! I’m not usually too bothered by spiders but there were excessive amounts of cobwebs and hence spiders that prevented me from enjoying a shower.

Liked Fantastic location and camp site with added chickens, which the kids loved! Facilities were great and host was so lovely and welcoming. We didn’t use or ask for the WiFi, as why would you when camping, but phone signal was strong if needed.

Disliked Our pitch was along side the main road to Lizard, which can be very noisy of an evening but you do get used to it

Liked Family focussed beautiful small campsite. Showers were blissful and pitches large enough for huge tents. Chicken cuddling was an essential part of bedtime routine. Liz and Mike were friendly and approachable hosts. It was a pleasure to spend a family holiday on the Lizard at this campsite.

Liked Really spacious and quiet places to stay. Silent and peaceful, with good sanitary!

Disliked The entrance to the campsite is very narrow. It is doable, but it would be better if the entrance is trimmed back a bit

Local attractions

You'll be on the beach, cliffs and along the South West Coast Path first, probably… and after that, there's loads to do around Little Trethvas Holidays, from fishing and sailing to horse riding and off-road biking. As with much/most of Cornwall, the surf is pretty spectacular around this part of coast too, but it's quieter here than more famed surf spots like Newquay: try Kennack Sands or the surf school at Poldhu Cove. Kids will likely have a hoot at Gweek's Cornish Seal Sanctuary; Falmouth Maritime Museum and the 650 birds and animals of the Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary at Hayle should also be hits. One of the most popular places to stop off around the Lizard is the country's tip at Land's End – be sure to get your pic snapped at the iconic signpost – and another is most lovely St Michael's Mount, the tiny island with medieval church and castle, reached across the water from Marazion.
