What customers say
Sandwich Lakes shines for its scenery, fishing, and helpful staff. Clean facilities, roomy pitches, and tasty cafe food are highlights. Perfect for anglers, families, and dog owners (great walking area!). Some noted muddy spots and toilet issues in wet weather, with management addressing them. Many loved the peaceful vibe and value, keen to return.

Beyond the fishing it’s a well looked after farm with gorgeous animal
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are amazing: modern, clean. It’s our second time and we enjoy the peace of the location despite being popular to many. It doesn’t feel crowded and the atmosphere is very tranquil. We will be back for sure!

Liked Not cramped into pitches with big open field in main campsite .... lovely field for ball games etc!
Lovely walks, and mini animal farm was lovely! The grandchildren were in awe.
10 min drive into Deal, and Sandwich a short drive!!!
Site has improved immensely over the last few years with staff working hard to keep the camping area tidy. The waterside café on-site is a treat!

Liked Loved the place.
Nice walks around the lakes with the dog. A really very peaceful .
Lovely on site cafe.
The shower block and loos were spotless 😊
20 minute walk into the town.
Disliked Not a dislike just an observation.
The site has a small shop that sells everything to do with fishing nothing else.
There is nowhere to buy any food stuff or something you may have forgotten like loo roll . If you run out of milk or bread it’s a trip into Sandwich. This was a bit of a pain !

Liked Liked all aspects the site
Disliked We were not told about the ground work going on at the site until 2 hours before we arrived. We had already traveled 3 for 3 hours then we got a call to inform us of the work . They said that they would put us out of the way of the work . BUT tipped 2 large piles of hardcore outside our awning . DUST everywhere car and caravan covers in dust .

Lovely site, friendly staff and good facilities
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Large showers, off lead field for dogs, nice cafeteria (very popular with locals) and lovely scenery. Friendly staff and field with horses, pigs, alpacas and pigmy goats. The pigs were very friendly and loved having a fuss made of them (snout and belly rubs).
Disliked The shower cut off every ten seconds was annoying. Areas of the hard standing pitch we were on was muddy. The wifi signal was poor where we were.
