  • Small and peaceful farm at the foot of the Howgill Fells
  • Remote location but only ten minutes' drive from the M6
  • In walking country and four miles from Sedbergh
How about this for handsome scenery: Howgills Hideaway on a small sheep and cattle farm near Kendal is the foot of the Howgill Fells, with views across the Lune Valley. And how should you spend your Howgills holiday time? Perhaps sitting back and relaxing – or having a brisk walk on the fab Fells on your doorstep or the Yorkshire Dales National Park all around? Howgills is a small, secluded and peaceful site, four miles from the market town (and books) of Sedburgh and set just where Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales National Park meet. Although it's a remote location site, it's only ten minutes' drive from the M6 and 11 miles from Kendal; Penrith is easily accessible a bit further north. Howgills Hideaway has smart and modern accommodation with well-thought out little touches and bed linen provided. Showers and toilets are on site for guests' use, and recycling is available. Both campfires and barbecues are allowed, but using only firewood purchased on site, please.
