What customers say
This tranquil, remote spot boasts gorgeous views and a wild camping vibe. Guests love the spotless facilities, including hot showers and nice portable toilets. The owners are always friendly and helpful. While pitches are a bit uneven and there's no Wi-Fi, it's highly recommended for its natural beauty and peaceful setting, with great access to local trails and hamlets.

Liked Owners were extremely friendly and the amenities on site (shower and toilet) were extremely clean and fully stocked with supplies. The view was beautiful and it was quiet with no disturbance. The owners suggested a nice little hike up to the tarn which was an easy hike which didn’t take long.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your kind feedback – we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. It’s great to hear you found the site peaceful, the views beautiful, and that you made the most of the walk up to the tarns- Did you manage to go for a swim?
We really appreciate your comments about the facilities as well. We take a lot of pride in keeping them extremely clean, well-stocked, and as comfortable as possible for our guests.
It was a pleasure having you stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back again soon!

Beautiful campsite, will 100% be back.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This was just like wild camping in a popular spot, with the nicest portaloos and the coolest shower set up. I’ll be coming back guaranteed! Lots of space to pitch up, not overcrowded, you feel very rural and out in the sticks, lots of local walks, and so many little details considered by the hosts to make basic amenities feel really nice.
Disliked Nothing! No washing up facilities (I knew this before coming), but for me that was no problem at all. Only a few pitches are perfectly flat, others are on a slight slant. There is one shower (hot!) , two portaloos, plenty drinking water, and a lovely spot at the top of the hill to read under a tree trunk canopy. No phone signal or WiFi (I loved this). No negatives just a few things to be aware of!

We’re so glad you enjoyed the wild camping feel of the place, along with the little comforts we’ve tried to add. It’s always nice to hear when the small touches are noticed, as we put a lot of thought into them.
Thanks as well for sharing the practical details so honestly — it’s really helpful for other guests. We’re especially glad you enjoyed switching off a bit while you were here, that’s such a special part of it for us too.
We can wait to welcome you back!!!

Was just a short stay for us, but would love to return as we didn't have much time to explore the area, but there are lots of routes around and some wild swimming not too far away too.
