  • Spacious pitches at a quiet Cheshire location near Antrobus
  • Five minutes' drive to Arley Hall & Gardens or an adventure farm
  • Fishing pond on site; easy access from motorways
Fancy a rural getaway – but one with lots of great attractions nearby and easy access from the motorway? Make a break for The Berries Camping & Caravan Park, tucked away in a quiet Cheshire countryside location about five minutes' drive from Antrobus. You’ll need to do just a 10-minute drive from the M56 to get to this site, which is about 20 minutes’ drive from both Warrington and Runcorn. Liverpool and Manchester are easily within an hour’s drive too – and yet you’d never know all these were nearby when you’re settled in this peaceful green spot. That peaceful atmosphere is partly down to the spacious pitches, where you’ll be able to set up all your kit and light a barbecue to cook your dinner. Picnic tables are provided for comfortable dining, and you’ll have access to handy facilities including toilets (with accessible options), a chemical disposal point and grey water drain as well as electric and fresh water hook-ups at the pitches. At the centre of the site is a large pond that’s got a few fishing spots as well as being a lovely place just to sit quietly and look out for wildlife. And if you need a few other activities to fill your days… well, you’ll have plenty of choice. The surrounding area is home to stately homes, gardens, animal attractions, theme parks and museums, not to mention the excellent Apple Jacks Adventure Farm and Arley Hall & Gardens, both five minutes' drive away. For practical matters, the closest supermarket and food pub are both about 10 minutes’ drive away.

Liked Very spacious, lovely aspects, nice owner very pleasant. We approached from the North side not recommended access from Arley Rd you wont regret it. Toilets are clean and there is an electric pay shower £1 for 2 mins and £2 for 4mins. Only cold water wash up in an external sink but we used the motorhome sink as water and electric available on pitch.

Disliked Nothing really its a nice place

Liked We stayed at The Berries as we were attending an event at Arley Hall. The Berries is a lovely, quiet, rural site perfect for a peaceful getaway. It is securely accessed via a coded lock. We were greeted by Ben, the owner, who is very friendly. You can tell that he takes great pride in his work as the site is well kept and tidy. The toilet / shower facilities were clean. Our grassed pitch was level and spacious with easy-to-access electric hook-up and water. There are plenty of picnic benches across the site. WiFi is also available at no extra cost. There is also a fishing lake too. Taxi to Arley Hall was between £8 & £12 for a 6 seater taxi. We walked back to The Berries and it took about 40 minutes.

Power optional grass tent campsite

Liked Lovely, well maintained site with plenty of space for pitches and lots of electric pitches if needed. Owner was friendly and helpful and the toilets were well maintained and comfortable. The site is near an airfield but it isn't noisy, our little one loved watching the planes take off.

Disliked Only one shower so you can be waiting a while for one in peak times.

No hot water to outside sink, which meant washing plates and cookware wasn't ideal.

Power optional grass tent campsite

Liked It was great! Fab location, really friendly toilets and shower facilities kept as clean as possible! Bit of grass and stuff in the toilets but was bits of rain so I think that’s to be expected! I’ve seen worse facilites in rugby clubs! Our extension lead wasn’t long enough for the pitch so the owner helped out with an extension, also helped out when we forgot a lighter/matches. Owner was helpful in every way!
Lovely area to go for a walk, Dog was also super chilled here, love that all dogs have to be kept on a lead so just puts my mind at ease. Pub was 5 min drive away with good food! Lovely little walk around the site, near the lake. Such a relaxing time!

First time every camping and now I can confirm I will be camping more often!
