What customers say
A small, quiet, well-kept campsite near Ripponden's pubs and shops. Praised for spotless, modern washrooms (good water pressure!) and level, spacious pitches with hook-ups. Friendly owners are a plus. Riverside walks and a peaceful vibe. Consider clearer signage & more washrooms during busy periods.

Liked Lovely site. Could hear the river which was very relaxing. Toilets and showers were cleaned, well maintained. The site was relaxing and felt safe with two young children.

Well located, tidy and friendly campground
Powered grass campsite
Liked Terrific location, quiet, next to river, right in the heart of Ripponden. Variety of character pubs nearby, Co-op up the hill, great coffee in local cafe. Pitches are nice and close to electric hookups and water. Campground has two unisex combined shower/toilet rooms which are clean. modern and spacious and one wash-up sink & bench outside (need to queue for both at times).
Would love to stay again if we are camping in the area.

Primitive grass tent campsite (woodland, backpacker)
Liked Booked backpacker woodland pitch by mistake. Wasn’t sure my Campstar 600 XL Air was going to fit but it did. Slight hill carrying all the gear up and down but worth every aching muscle and bone. 10/10 best spot on the campsite. Totally private. Campsite is nice and quiet, extremely tidy. Beautiful spot. I’m sure we either saw two deer or extremely large foxes.

Great site
Camping pod (adults only)
Liked What a lovely clean and quiet site, shower/toilets very clean and roomy and showers had great pressure and you can adjust the temperature to suit you. We were in a pod for the first time so we weren't expecting a lot but the pod was great and the beds were extremely comfy. Fire pit and table and bench were put to good use. This site is definitely on our list to visit again as we just didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted.

Powered grass campsite
Liked Spacious, level pitches (especially relevant for tents), clean roomy free toilet and showers (powerful and hot), quiet picturesque, easy to find with great access, well kept and very close to town centre, easy walk for anyone who is moderately mobile, friendly owners, pubs and nature walks close by.

Nice stay, would stay again!
Camping pod (adults only)
Liked The bench outside the pod was pretty cool, the bed was comfy too! Liked that the pods were out of the way from the campers and there was some privacy. The owners seem like nice people, their dog is pretty cool too! :-)
Disliked The toilets weren’t being cleaned regularly, they were quite smelly, often found stains in the toilets and the showers weren’t being cleaned regularly, this let the stay down a bit tbh. The pictures didn’t really show how small the place was, seemed like there was lots of space… it’s a tiny site so pictures seem a bit misleading :-/ it was nice nevertheless!
