What customers say
This campsite, beside a classic pub, gets nods for friendly owners, great value, and a central spot with scenic views. Pitches are roomy and facilities usually clean. Some noise or facility limits in peak times, plus a few upkeep kinks, are noted, but management promises updates. Many keen to revisit.

A fantastic hidden gem. Punch bowl…
Powered grass tent or RV campsite
Liked A fantastic hidden gem. Punch bowl staff were very attentive and helpful. The landlady, Helen I think her name was and her team were brilliant on what was a very busy day. As it turned out there was a private birthday party which everyone was welcome to join in. Bouncy castle, disco and Andre did a turn as Elvis which was very entertaining. The toilet facilties were clean and tidy on day of arrival but got hammered through the night so quite messy and lacked toilet roll. Which was the only nagative point of our stay. But overall a lovely stay and would recommend it.

Location is great for the waterfalls…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Location is great for the waterfalls and caves site is nice and clean, was really really busy and the staff done a great job, my 4 year old son really liked his stay plenty for the kids to do. I will 100% be staying again, a real friendly and welcoming place keep up the good work
Disliked Toilets and shower could be bigger, the pub was really busy with a party on and I think the toilets got over used by the pub group, camping toilets where clean when used but the next morning not so great

Overall we enjoyed the stay but probably won't return anytime soon
Powered grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Nice area to visit.
Disliked The single toilet and shower. Unaware that site is beside a railway line and Unaware that the pub was hosting an event on the Saturday night which was noisy. The price was higher than you expect to pay for such an uneven pitch. Pub and play area felt run down and a bit grubby. Service in the pub was very slow.

Ok
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Fair price for a good sized field that's about it.
Disliked Pub was dirty, dusty full of cobwebs, just like the sauce pot they gave us..grim!
Smelt greasy and food was awful.
Shower block: No mop to clean the floor after others or yourself after it'd been raining, floor full of dirty water and grass ! Floor was grim. The shower was either scorching hot or ice cold! Waste of time stripping off!
Kids play football near where you park!

From the manager: Hello
Thankyou for trying our campsite. It’s been operating less than a year and I am definetly learning as I go and love constructive feedback. We are a lovely traditional country pub trying to make ends meet and please our customers. I work 17 hours everyday cleaning, stock taking, ordering stock, prepping food, cooking food, waiting on, working behind the bar, welcoming customers, washing up, sorting any problems out, looking after my two young children and still managing to smile. Unfortunetly with the building being built in 1670 there are quite a few cob webs, the spiders love the traditional beams and sometimes because I don’t earn enough to get staff I can’t clean them all. We don’t expect everyone to appreciate the lovely views or the countryside life we live and yes my two boys do play football as with the visiting children but it is two acres and they play near the beer garden end. There is a mop and bucket with the washing up area and unfortunetly when we cut the grass as it grows then it does get into the shower as people wear their shoes while showering. Their is a trap that if the grass is removed then flows freely but I cannot monitor this everytime someone showers. I’m just trying my best but thankyou for your thoughtful review and the appreciation of my hard work.
Kindest regards
