What customers say
Praised for friendly hosts, spacious pitches & good value. Guests loved the on-site pub with live music & food, plus the kids' play area. Facilities are generally clean, but some noted limited washrooms during peak times. Location good for exploring, though some experienced noise & found it busy.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Pay area, lovely field. Cheap and cheerful
Disliked Other campers being very noisy before 7am, I thought the general rule was to be quiet until 8am. Not the camp sites fault.

Not great
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Location and potential
Disliked I feel as though there is 0 passion in this campsite, the pub is very run down and the facilities were gross and not kept on top of refills. They must have had at least 60 guests all crammed into a small field like sardines with only 2 toilets. People were turning up confused at to where to go and where to park/pitch up as there wasn't much room at all. Also although the train track was the least of our worries they had no mention of the train track and strategic images on here not to show it. It's such a shame as this could have been a great place if they looked after it and didn't cram people in the way they did... Seems as though it's just about how much money they can make rather than comfortably accomodating.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Good site, with plenty of room. The pub had live music on both nights. Basic facilities but were clean. Would defo go again, really good value for money. The pub also had a little park for the kids.
Disliked Could do with some more Electric hook ups further down the field, but wouldn’t think twice about booking again.

Lovely site
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Lovely location
Live music on the night
Reasonable drinks prices
Clean toilets
Disliked Unfortunately the pub wasn’t serving food through no fault of the lady behind the bar as she has been let down which must have been stressful for her given she was the only member of staff on a busy bank holiday

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Stayed here on may bank holiday weekend and I found it to be a great little site. Pub on site was great but unfortunately they were only doing basket food but overall it was good. They had 2 singers on over Saturday & Sunday. There was a play park in the garden of the pub and it could be seen from the camping field so that was great as our son was off playing the whole time we were there. Theres a railway track running along the campsite but honestly it didn't bother us at all as not many trains went past the whole weekend.
The owners were always busy and very friendly. The facilities could of been a little better but only in the way of needing more.
Although there was only 2 showers and 2 toilets on the campsite you were never waiting a long time to use. They let you use the toilets in the pub from early morning to closing. We really enjoyed ourselves and I would definitely go back.
