What customers say
A popular spot for bikers, offering a welcoming vibe & helpful staff. Spacious, well-arranged pitches. Cafe gets nods for good food, fair prices. Facilities are okay, but some found them dated (showers/toilets especially). Train noise & events can occur.

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Spacious pitches, lovely place to camp, plenty of space for the kids to enjoy, lovely atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Food and drink is reasonably priced too
Disliked Showers and toilets desperately need a refurb. The showers are charged at £1 for a 4 minute shower. Which isnt bad but the facilities need to be improved

Great site with restaurant attached.
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Campsite easy to book and find. Hundreds of motorbikes on a rally the day we arrived, at the cafe/restaurant. Great to see so many interesting bikes, drivers were all great, courteous and friendly. Good choice of food at the restaurant at very reasonable price. Campsite was fine and level, with paid electric hook up in addition to the pitch fee. Didn't use the toilets/showers as we are self contained.
Disliked A bit of noise from the nearby railway, stopped overnight and didn't disturb us, might if you are a light sleeper.

The site was ok and level, cafe was good, staff were good
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Cafe was good and the staff were nice.
Disliked Lots of permanent campers here, so it looked like a bit of a shanty town.
Only two showers were open and you need a token for 4 minutes,
Hand driers were not working on our first day.
Had to buy a card with £5 of electric on and you dont get your change back if you dont use it all!

Quirky little place with a friendly welcome.
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Really friendly staff. Busy place at times and good atmosphere. Camping pitches are well laid out & easy to find. A barrier with a contactless card to open it (£5dep) keeps everyone secure.
Only stayed 1 night and didn’t dine there, so can’t rate that.
Disliked Could be better lit as there are steep grass banks between the pub/cafe and camping.
Lots of potholes on the track up to the camping area - could easily be filled to make entry/exit a more pleasurable experience.
