What customers say
A well-kept, no-frills campsite with amazing cliff views and spacious sites. Easy beach access, peaceful vibe, and good value. Basic but clean portaloos and water. Can be windy and access road is rough, but worth it for the location. Perfect for a quiet, back-to-basics getaway.

Great views
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked The views and a great walk down to the beach
Disliked Entrance road was a stony narrow road. Pitches although quite big just didn't work because everyone pitched wherever they wanted to

From the manager: Yes it’s a unique off grid site - as described in pitch up.
There are two access roads one stone and one grass. Neither are particularly smooth 🙂
If you like off grid, outstanding location and views then it works.
It’s definitely not an electric hook type of site .. 🤩
Definitely we would come again
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked What a Amazing view! We had a wonderful camping there. It was easy to walk to cayton bay and quite and family friendly campsite.
Disliked I couldn't find the main water tap because some big caravans parked right in front of the tap. It is about middle of the field. Toilets were every 10m so it was easy

great off gird campsite with stunning views
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Great location, with only a short walk down to the beach, or a pub. Stunning sea views. I would get there close to the check in time to get the best views but even if you have to be the opposite side you will have a great countryside view. not much more to say about pitches in a field. Portaloo's are never ideal but as they go these were clean which I think is all you can ask for.

Liked Brilliant place the view was stunning amenities were great the portaloos clean and well maintained
Disliked Nothing we disliked although a couple of people made mistakes with where they parked - the person who told them they were wrong waited till they were set up before telling them even though he was there it would have been nice if they had been told earlier and the person needed to mention he was staff as one couple had no idea who he was but other than that its perfect

Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Stunning camping spot. Very chilled and lots of space. Short walk down to the beautiful Cayton Bay. The Cleveland way takes you the 4 mile walk to Scarborough or Filey a similar distance the opposite way from the campsite. 6 Portaloos all kept clean and stocked.
Disliked Nothing

Great site and will definitely be back
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The views, the generous pitches, grateful for the location instructions and honesty of what the site actually offers so there are no surprises. We chose to take the van instead of the car and were glad we did…my little Hyundai i10 would’ve struggled with the access road.
Anyone who likes camping/motor home or a tent box should seriously consider this for events at Scarborough Open Air. Buses from Cayton Bay Holiday Park run regularly and a taxi back only £22.
Our go to now for gigs during their open season.
Disliked Plentiful supply of toilet paper and handwashing gel but one of the toilets we avoided as someone had struggled to dispose of something. Not a biggy as plenty more were available.

Fantastic camping spot
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful view over the bay to Scarborough, brilliant for sunsets. Close to the beach, and not far into Scarborough to access shops for food supplies, which was needed daily due to the hot weather.
Disliked Not a dislike, but worth nothing there is only portaloos for toilets, no access to water so bring your own, and now shower facilities. This does not bother me, but worth noting if you require this. Loos were immaculate.

From the manager: Thank you - much appreciated 🙏 🙂
We do have a treated water supply on site but as it’s a shared tap we recommend bottled water .. 🙂
