Camping field looking over cliffs to the north sea
Spectacular sunsets
Campfire

  • Pop-up North Yorkshire site with spectacular views to Scarborough
  • On the Cleveland Way National Trail; Cayton Bay five minutes’ drive
  • Off-grid with all pitches facing the sea; farm shop 15 minutes’ walk
The clue’s in the name at Scarborough Sea View Camping, a clifftop retreat on the North Yorkshire coast. All the pitches face the coast, so you will indeed have spectacular views over the sea, in this case the North Sea to Scarborough (15 minutes’ drive), giving you a front-row seat on one of England’s most spectacular coastlines. Here you can wake to vibrant sunrises and cosy up on clear evenings to watch sunsets in the west. And there’s plenty more going for this peaceful site as well: walkers will perk up on hearing that it’s right on the Cleveland Way National Trail, surfers can catch waves at popular Cayton Bay (five minutes’ drive), and families can head for Go Ape or scenic biking trails in Dalby Forest (40 minutes). There’s also a farm shop 15 minutes’ walk away where you can get a decent coffee and homemade food. There’s plenty of room so you’re free to pitch up where you wish. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and barbecues or firepits are allowed as long as they’re raised off the ground to protect the grass. A couple of words of caution though: Scarborough Sea View Camping is exposed. It can get very windy at times, so take care when erecting tents and ensure everything is well secured. Facilities are simple: there are chemical toilets and a water supply (although this comes directly from the mains, the site owners recommend that, for your safety, you use bottled water for drinking) – note that there are no showers on site. The access road is alongside a grass field, so please ensure that your vehicle is suitable for the terrain.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Absolutely amazing views and a great location to access Cayton beach and walks the ground is level enough aswell. Water tap there for basic needs but best to take your drinking . Also firepits and BBQ allowed as long as raised of the ground and not likely to burn the floor.

Disliked I know its a pop up but some form of washing facilties would be nice rather than a tap.

Liked ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sea View Scarborough
I had a fantastic time at Sea View Scarborough! It’s just a 10-minute walk to the beach, the lovely Salty Dog Café, and Scarborough Surf School. You can even walk along the coast to Scarborough or Filey in about an hour. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway with plenty to explore nearby!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We recently stayed here for a long weekend and were absolutely blown away by the views. Beautiful and very quiet, lovely place to relax, back to basics.
Definitely would book again.

Disliked The only thing negative i would say is people pitch up far to close to one another despite the markings,
Which has no impact on the site or owners, thats all down to individuals not paying attention.
