Nice and quite friendly…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Nice and quite friendly
Disliked I would refer electric hookup
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Hi, glad you had a nice stay. Due to the size of our site and being a pop up campsite to compliment the racing it would be very expensive to put electric hookup in. We do keep evaluating the situation.
It was a great place to go and would definitely go again.
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Great place out away from traffic with a beautiful view on the way. Lots of toilets and plenty of space for everyone. Also it was great to have somewhere to clean our pots.
Disliked Unfortunately we were woken up at around midnight by a very loud group blasting music which did spoilt it for us. Also more than one shower would be great.

From the manager: Hi, thank you for the review. There is a shower trailer as well with extra showers in to compliment the toilet blocks and sorry about the group, we had words with them. We are family friendly site and don't tolerate late noise.

I wouldn't stay here again as the motorbike noise was unacceptable
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked You could set up where you wanted, the facilities were basic but clean with plenty of hot water and it was only a 10 minutes drive into Scarborough. Also the 12.00 pack up time was great
Disliked As there was no racing that weekend I was expecting it to be fairly quiet but it was very noisy on the Saturday afternoon with motorbike engines roaring I don't know weather it was practice laps or what it was the same on the Monday evening and only stopped as it started to rain and was going dark
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: The set up where you like means you can either be by yourselves or with a group of friends. We all know it takes a while to pack up so the 12.00 makes life easier.
The race track is normal road when we don't have events on and the bikes had nothing to do with us. If we have an event on we either close the pop up campsite or it is well advertised. Unfortunately we have no control who uses the road.

Liked Very good, spacious, quiet, picturesque
Disliked Could do with a bit of a freshen up of the toilet and showers

From the manager: Thank you for your review. Over winter the toilet block will get sorted ready for next season.
Nice and unique place…
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Nice and unique place
Disliked Just wrong time and day for us…
Someone throw up in toilet and did not clean up, maybe be useful leave mopping or something there for clean up…

From the manager: I'm sorry about the situation in the toilet, did you contact the caretaker (phone number on the confirmation email) to let him know? He checks them on a regular basis and would have come out to deal with it straightaway.
Friendly but basic.
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked We were able to choose our own pitch, and our friend was able to pitch beside us. There were picnic tables around for our use.
Disliked There was rather a lot of rubbish around the edges of the camping field. It was also very confusing finding the actual campsite as it was entered on a road marked not for public use and which turned into a race track.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed choosing your pitch enabling you to be next to your friend and having the picnic tables available. We do send detailed directions by email ahead of arrival, with a map and the site itself is well signposted. Being the top of the Oliver's Mount if the wind picks up then rubbish may land against the fencing. Our caretaker goes around tidying the area up but we will get him to be more observant so thank you for pointing it out to us.
Will be coming back next summer hopefully with a car & dog next time.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Great clean and tidy campsite, lovely scenery. Clean toilets with hot water, drinking water available onsite. Easy to get a local taxi and Ubereats if you need it. Great price. Family of 5 camping with a tent for the first time for 2 nights.
Disliked We don't have a car, so it was a bit of a walk to find the bus stop to get to the beach but if you have a car then this campsite will be perfect for you.
