It's a great site, glad we found it and will return.
FHU grass and sand campsite
Liked Lovely site,in a really lovely part of Suffolk. Toilets are clean, pitch level and grass short. Water and electric at each pitch. Each pitch has hedges both sides for privacy. Excellent wifi. We felt safe there as owners live on site.Although we are only a couple,we don't mind family sites, but this site seemed to keep the families one end and couples the other end. There are some beautiful walks from the site, and a pub not too far away. There is plenty to discover in the area.Play area for children.
Disliked The only thing I didn't like was, the chemical point. I'd like the wash down hose to be slightly away from the emptying point, so it can't get splashed. Having said that, I didn't use the hose, simply filled a spare container of water to rinse the cassette. So no problem really.
Fabulous four night stay. Would definitely recommend.
FHU grass and sand campsite
Liked Small well cared for site, large secluded pitches, good but limited facilities and excellent location for Sutton Hoo, walking to Woodbridge and driving to Orford Ness.
Very friendly owners.
Fridge/freezer available if needed.
Excellent site with level pitches
FHU grass and sand campsite
Liked Closeness to burial sites, drinking water and drainage to each pitch
Disliked Bit close to noisy road, but didn't bother us much
Fantastic site with friendly owners
FHU grass and sand campsite
Liked Absolutely loved our stay. Nice large pitches with privacy, close but not too close to the toilets. Very clean facilities showers/toilets. Very simple site instructions. All in all an easy and relaxed stay with beautiful surroundings and good places to visit. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again👍
Disliked Nothing at all
Excellent site, the staff were friendly and the pitches were good.
Primitive grass tent, travel trailer or trailer tent campsite
Liked Really lovely site. Great location for exploring Sutton Hoo and the Woodbridge area.
Facilities really clean, and regularly cleaned. The shared fridges, power and kettle for our morning coffee was really appreciated.
We didn't drive and got a taxi from Woodbridge station to the site.
Lovely site but let down by the shower block.
FHU grass and sand campsite
Liked Lovely quiet site,we stayed midweek, with good size pitches, we liked having our own water supply makes a change from having to walk across the site to the tap. All the information you needed such as your site plan and where to look for your pitch number was emailed to you before arrival.
Disliked The only downside to our stay was the size and the cleanliness of the shower block, the toilets were clean but I don't think the showers were cleaned every day and they were too small. There were some hooks to use and a very dirty small stool which could have used a good jet wash. Maybe it wouldn't bother some people but I think if you are providing showers at least clean them.
From the manager: Thank you for your feedback about the showers. I am sorry they weren’t as clean as you would like, they are cleaned daily, but at busy times they are being very well used. The size of the shower block was restricted by the council, we would have preferred it to be bigger, but weren’t allowed to increase the size of the building. I will put more hooks up and clean the stools.
Pleasant small pitch with good showers and private, level pitches.

Liked Nice small site, power and water to pitch, grey waste on pitch. Hedges between pitches for privacy.
Level pitches, easy walk to Sutton Hoo National Trust site.
Disliked Grey water waste was tiny drain cover right against hedge, difficult to manoeuvre Motorhome to best place for grey water disposal.
WiFi on our pitch was flaky, but seemed much better by the toilet/shower block.
Lovely site with level, private pitches
FHU grass and sand campsite
Liked Very close to Sutton Hoo National Trust site
Disliked Lots of D of E children staying the nights that we stayed so the toilets / showers were not very clean!
A nice site but facilities were over stretched on our visit.
FHU grass and sand campsite
Liked Very close to Sutton Hoo and bus stop into Woodbridge.
Disliked The facilities were very stretched due to a high number of youngsters on site with carers engaged in Duke of Edinburgh Award. We should have been informed as we would have come later in the year.
From the manager: I am sorry you were disturbed by the D of E school group. In previous years they have always been very respectful of other campers. I will indeed let other campers know when they are on site in future years. Thank you for your feedback.
Great site.
