Making plans to get away to the countryside? The country views are splendid at Clarks Farm Camping. The well-maintained six-acre grass meadow has views over the Suffolk countryside, as well as fresh running water, toilets and showers. Eggs for breakfast? The site is set on a family-run working farm, so the family can supply you with eggs from their chickens for an additional fee. There's also a shop selling camping essentials, so have a browse to see if they have any of the little things you may have forgotten to pack. For other meals, within a 10- to 15-minute drive of the farm, there are handfuls of pubs with good food menus in the local villages, including Long Melford, Wickham St Paul, Clare and Castle Hedingham. The market town of Sudbury is also a 15-minute drive away, with good food venues, theatre shows and boat trips running along the river Stour. If you don’t go anywhere without a furry pal, good news just in – Clarks Farm is dog-friendly. For an extra fee, there is a secure, private dog-walking field at the farm. There are good country walks along the footpaths in the local area.

Liked Sadie was lovely and welcoming when we arrived, great views and huge pitches. Lovely walk from the site and dog park to hire if we had more time we would have done!

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Sadie was very welcoming even after we came in later than expected.
The facilities were clean and well kept.
You had free rein of where you wanted to camp which meant we could tuck ourselves away from other people.
The area is remote but so peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed some beautiful walks in the area.

Liked We had a lovely stay at Clarke’s Campsite. It’s a lovely, quiet, family-run campsite set on a working farm, with donkeys and chickens adding to the charm.

The facilities were clean and well looked after, with tidy showers, toilets and a washing-up area. There’s also lots of open space, which was fantastic for the children to run around and get the ball games out.

A peaceful, relaxed campsite with a real family feel. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

Shepherd's hut

Liked Beautiful peaceful area.
Shepherds hut was cosy and the toilets/shower were clean and nice.
Sadie , the friendly owner, made sure we had correct directions and showed us around when we arrived.
