A stay at the Suffolk seaside? And a short drive from Southwold? What’s not to love? Especially at Pigs in Blankets, an off-grid site scattered across a six-acre meadow on a working livestock farm. It’s only a 20-minute walk into the lively seaside town of Southwold for pubs and supermarkets (and the cool shops on its high streets), and, within reception hours, you can buy locally sourced meat, milk, eggs and ice cream from the fridge and freezer on site. The Dutch Barn is the focal point of the site, hosting all sorts of amenities, from washing-up sinks and shower and toilet facilities to ping pong and a coffee machine. From Wednesday to Sunday, take the kids to the petting barn for some time with the animals. Pigs Padel, the on-site padel court, is open every day from early morning to late evening. If it's open (hours vary throughout the season), you could settle in for a drink afterwards at the on-site bar, The Grain Shed. While on site, you’ll have constant views of the farm animals, the neighbouring wildfowl marshland and the lovely Suffolk coastline. A golf course is within walking distance. Lowestoft is a 25-minute drive to the north, too, and if you carry on up the coast, it's another 15 minutes on top to Great Yarmouth.

Fantastic site near the beach & Southwold. Spacious, clean pitches, great facilities (coffee machine!). Friendly staff. Petting farm a hit with kids. Minor notes: no laundry, occasional noise/toilet issues.

Meadow primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Amazing location and extremely well kept site offering all the clamping amenities you could want. It was a first camping trip with our two young daughters and all the little home comforts (toilets/showers/washing up stations) made it that much easier to introduce them to camping.

Liked Fabulous site. Well thought out and immaculate facilities. Inspired to have a coffee machine! Staff friendly and very helpful. A lovely walk down to the beach (dogs on lead). Dog friendly beach 5 mins drive away. Would highly recommend.
